Hi y’all! My basement flooded July 2020 and the tiny guest bathroom was fully gutted. It was a headache trying to find a contractor to fix it who wasn’t trying to charge me $$$. Huge thank you to aspentosh for graciously sharing her contractor’s info with me. They did an amazing job, especially having to deal with material delays.
I don’t have a pic of the actual bathroom before but vanity/toilet/flooring looked exactly like the other basic builder grade bathrooms in my house.
Bathroom after water damage removed. Very small useless shower stall
And after! Expanded shower into closed in wasted space. It’s the nicest bathroom in my house now! The rest of the basement has a beachy coastal vibe so I designed the bathroom to match. I’m in love with how it turned out.
There was a recessed medicine cabinet next to the sink. I had them build recessed shelves for extra storage since the bathroom is so small.
Close up of the shower wall tile. Hard to get a good picture of it, it’s so pretty in person.

It looks great! Love the textured tile and the inset shelving. Was there really just nothing in that space next to the shower, or was there once a water heater there or something?

It was just empty space. And I never would have known until it flooded and the drywall at the bottom had to be removed. I can’t believe the builder put in a tiny shower with all that space there.
