Piggybacking on the pajama post, can anyone recommend lounge-type shorts for an 8-year-old? DS likes to wear shorts to bed, but I'm having trouble finding soft, loose shorts for him. I bought some from Target recently and they are awful- the fabric is horribly pilled after one wash. Any ideas?
My DS has sleep shorts by Urban Pipeline from Kohl’s that he likes. They’ve held up well. No pilling. You can Google because I can’t like from the stupid kohl’s app.

C is 7 and just wears regular gym shorts to bed. He puts on a fresh pair of shorts and fresh t-shirt at bedtime. Lots of laundry…but it works. Sometimes in the winter he’ll do PJ bottoms and a regular top (Target Cat & Jack has just bottoms).

DS2 loves Lands End sweat shorts. They are not specifically pjs, but that's what he wears to bed in warmer months. I only buy them when they are 40% off.
Those are the shorts we have that are super pilled! I wonder what I did wrong. I’ll look for those athletic shorts- thank you!
We have the same ones and I agree that material pills a little more than others. The pajamas shorts sets from Target are even worse once you get into big boy sizes. Try to find some that are 100% cotton or Jersey / t-shirt or sweatshirt material. We have some from gap / old navy from a couple years ago. My brother has some from Target men’s section which will be too big now, but I may try some XS mens for my 10 year old soon.

The Old Navy Boys Breathe shorts are super soft and thinner than typical athletic shorts. I think they would be perfect for sleeping. They also haven't pilled for us the way typical "sleep shorts" do.
