Hi
I would love to come join you ladies, if you'll have me.
I am going through my second donor egg cycle right now. I was originally from GBCB/Then Comes Family/However It Happened ( I may have missed one lol?) Ironically, I popped in to HIH and saw that choppinbroccoli had said she hopped over here because it had more traffic. I am really missing the support and friendship I had from the ladies at TCF when I went through IVF in 2015. There was a FB group that grew out of 3T when TCF imploded, but it just wasn't a very good fit for me. Most of them are done with this part of their life. I tried joining some FB groups for people going through egg donation, but it's more like a sounding board, and less about camaraderie.
We did two IVF banking cycles in 2015. My DH and I are now both 38.
**TW for losses and child**
We naturally got pregnant in 2014 but had a loss. My OBGYN ran a bunch of bloodwork a few months later and he recommended I go to an RE because he had some concerns. My FSH was really high and my AMH was really low, and I was dxed with DOR.
We went straight to IVF and did two banking cycles. We ended up with two PGS tested embryos. One resulted in my son. We transferred our final embryo last year and had a heartbreaking loss at 7 weeks. She would have been born in June, and I miss her every day.
**end TW**
Nothing in my bloodwork implies that a third IVF cycle would be successful. We made the ultimate decision to go through a fresh donor egg program out of state. Against my better judgement, I ended up choosing a donor that I adored, but she only had frozen eggs available. We cycled in May and ended up without any embryos by Day 6. It's a guarantee program, so we were able to choose another donor. We're doing a fresh cycle this time, and our new donor (who is also lovely) had her baseline this week and starts stims in two days. I'm excited and terrified. The doctors and embryologist seem really confident that it was an issue with the frozen eggs thawing, and not sperm. We hope so.
We won't be transferring for quite a bit of time. We're doing PGT-A testing. The clinic is having a hard time keeping up with an influx of new patients. I'm honestly not sure we'll get in before January. I'm also looking into having any embryos that come from this cycle shipped to a local clinic, both so I don't need to travel out of state for a FET and so I don't have to wait quite so long.

Welcome! I'm so sorry for your loss.
We had a similar issue with no embryos from a frozen donor. Under the guarantee, we got 4 eggs for the replacement, and our doctor had someone cycling that she liked for us. She wanted fresh eggs, and a proven donor. We ended up with 2 embryos, and we got PGT-A testing back in less than two weeks (1 is euploid).
I'm a bit surprised you'll have to wait so long! That's so frustrating. I was able to start BCP to get to the right cycle date for an estimated transfer date before we even talked to the doctor about embryos. It's only due to my own work schedule that our FET is set for October 11.
(I'm 43 with pretty standard DOR and blocked tubes, so we went straight to donor eggs.)

Welcome!
**TW**
My H and I also used donor eggs and have a 4 year old daughter now. The process was so much easier than my own cycles and my clinic was really great with everything.
**End TW**
Wishing you the best of luck and please feel free to ask questions and start threads!

thedutchgirl, I was floored that they were scheduling so far out! I'm so glad that you have a euploid embryo to transfer <3 October will be here super soon!
thoseareradishes, Thank you so much! Our donor is open to connecting with us at some point, and we really like her vibe. We've got our fingers and toes crossed for this <3
Welcome! So sorry for your loss, we also had a 7 week miscarriage last year with the last embryo from our first ivf. Hope you are able to get the embryos and to transfer a little quicker than ot sounds like now!
