Our house is a side hall colonial with brick and aluminum siding. The siding is in decent shape, but looks wise is a little rough so we are going to paint. Our plan is to do new windows, roof, and windows in the next 5-7 years, so this is just to hold us over until then. I like the idea of a blue/grey color, but I'm kind of overwhelmed by the choices. Does anyone have a color that they love? Bonus points for pictures. Thanks!
I didn't use it for exterior, but we painted an interior room BM Silver Gray. I wanted a 'warm blue gray' which is kind of an oxymoron and I tried approximately a dozen samples and that was The One.
My H started painting today and I love it. So happy with the color. This photo makes my current white siding look better than it actually is LOL But I love the blue/grey and especially can't wait to see it on the front of the house where the brick is.
ETA: Also, a question. Obviously, the light is horrible. It's original to the house. Obviously it needs to be replaced, but if I ask my husband to relocate it higher I think he might stroke out LOL I was thinking of maybe doing something oversized but looking for suggestions or ideas to update without moving the existing electrical.
I will say any blue grey will look more blue as an exterior color so I’d lean heavily into the grey. Also be sure to view samples without sunglasses on!
