Or maybe my birthday if it weren't an intl holiday with all government offices closed. 11/11. So, day after? It would be fitting for rememberance day/armistice day/veterans day.
I don't know, but I'm over here like this if this thing actually gets approved in October.
Haha same! I’m loving this guessing game because either way, we’re in the home stretch!!!!
At least for one of my kids… then I get sad again. But I’ll take it!
Ha, same. But my older is definitely more at risk in his 30-person first grade class and after school program with combined grades than my younger in his 7-person private pre-k where he interacts with a maximum of 3 of the same adults on any given day. I am taking what I can get at this point for sure.
I am just coming into say my 40th birthday is 9/28 and this legit will be the best gift if pfizer submits on that day. It would be even better if FDA was approving on that day, but a girl will take what she can get!

Absolutely! If even just 50% of the elementary school students get vaccinated, the ability of the virus to spread will be reduced so dramatically! I really hope the FDA approves it quickly. Opening up a new age group is probably the fastest way to increase the US's overall vaccinated rate at this point.

Week of November 8-12. I think they will wait as long as possible, but still be pressured to have it 5-6 weeks before Christmas to have kids vaxxed before holidays. Yes, I know there is Thanksgiving and other religious holidays before Christmas. But I don’t really think it will be approved early enough in October in time for that. I think the school breaks and Christmas will become a factor and priority at some point.
Pfizer CEO gave an update on timeline today, I posted it in the @ COVID thread
So if I’m reading correctly - they would file for EUA in early October, and then it’s thought that it will be anywhere from 3-6 weeks after that for FDA to finish and actually approve? That would put it somewhere between about Halloween and Thanksgiving.

The best new news out of that is the data on the daycare set (0.5-5 year olds) should be submitted a month later! That means everyone* but the youngest babies might be eligible by the beginning of 2022!
