Super exciting thread, haha.
We had new hardwood floors put in the beginning of this year. I've noticed about 4 small chips so far. Some in places where we have our dining room chairs. We have the sticky felt pads on the bottom but they seem to move and fall off all.the.time. I am constantly sticking them back on.
I know there are the ones you can nail into the bottom of your chair, but I read on some Amazon reviews that the nail part was popping through the felt and then scratching the hell out of people's floors.
So...any suggestions for some that will stay on for more than a few days and not scratch my floors?
These are the ones that I have and they work great. No nail sticking out to scratch and no sliding around like the stick-on kind. I replace them once a year or so.

All my chairs have chair socks. Each chair has a pair to wash and a pair to wear. We don't like carpet, so only have small throw type rugs that can be washed, so chair socks it is!
I'm seconding these! Stick on/nail on felt pads all fall off/wear out quickly, and I tried chair socks too. The fabric socks kind of work for awhile, but mine wore out and were always slipping off. The type linked above are great!! Mine are still going strong after a couple of years.
