I personally don't think Teresa is smart enough to be involved of the so-called "set up". The ladies seemed very quick to conclude that things didn't add up with her (going to a different place to get her hair done, her BIL being there, etc.) but I thought they were really stretching it to make the connection.
If anything I think Bravo was the arranging everything!
I generally think that Melissa is fake. If you are bored then you should look her up on twitter. She pretty much live-tweeted the entire show. I think she blew the entire situation way out of proportion at the fashion show.
It's weird how the finale for this season was filmed before the reunion from the previous season. It's like they all have to re-live everything that happened a year ago.

I thought it was ridiculous.. I'm not a huge Teresa fan, but I can't stand Melissa! I definitely think she's fake and a fame whore. I'm starting to believe she and her husband were the ones who were jealous because Teresa was on tv and wanted a piece of the fame pie. She came on the show to make Teresa look bad and I think she teamed up with producers to stage things. Teresa is no angel, but I definitely don't think she set anything up at the finale.
Plus, in my opinion nothing really happened! All the guy did was approach the table and say hi. Most of the women weren't even paying attention and he said absolutely nothing about her being a stripper. Teresa mentioned what he said at the salon when they were alone in the bathroom. Why did Melissa have to flip out and make a scene out of it? Something really doesn't add up here.
While I do not think Teresa set up the whole thing, I do think she LOVED the drama that came with the bald guy. I think Kim sent him over to the table and I think Teresa's lightbulb went off at that moment. Why did she have to follow Melissa inot the bathroom and tell her....why didnt she just blow it off? Why the whole my heart is pounding? If she really wanted to tell the guy off why didnt she do it in the salon? I think she is upset now because the drama it caused has backfired on her and while she didnt plan it, her hand had to just dip into the cookie jar and FINALLY everyone is on the same page regarding what a shit stirrer she is. I think Kim set up the whole thing...I think Teresa didnt know about it, but loved it and decided to go with it.

I pretty much think this too. It did seem like T was in on this to me though by the way she was questioning M in the bathroom. however, I think there is a ton of bad blood between them. I can see T wanting to get back at M for all that she has done to T, ie contacting danielle to feed her dirt on her and picking that fight w. her at the finale, the baptism episode, her facebook rants about her while T was on season 1 and 2, etc. I mean it is pretty rotten stuff that M has done. And not that I agree with T, but I think she wanted M to taste a bit of her own medicine. Although, the part that really doesn't make sense is what did she really think would happen? Bc in this day and age does anyone care if M was really a stripper? Maybe she thought she would just embarrass M a bit? And it blew up bigger than she thought? I am not really sure, b/c again the plan wasn't really a big or well thought out one, so I don't get the purpose of it either. Something like M being a stripper isn't exactly info that would "take her down" or ruin her rep or anything serious. It just seemed like a lot of build up over nothing really.
My other theory is, is that they are all pretty much in on this & we are the fools for even discussing any of this or watching it, lol.
I definitely don't like M though pretty much b/c i think it was really f'd up to contact Danielle (whether t was awful to her or not) and give her information to start a brawl with T on TV about personal family issues. She really doesn't have any shame. The very first episode was disquisting and I felt so sorry for the Gorga parents. Joe seems like a whiney little boy and has the mentality of a hormonal teenage boy with all the sex talk and his outbursts he acts like a spoiled child. I mean I really don't know how T was able to get over the way he talked to her on that episode. He would have been dead to me right then and there, lol.
So maybe this was her way of getting back at them for their first episode? I don't know. I bet though they will be filming together for season 5, so they only hate each other for now.

I'm SO torn on what to think about this! At first I felt bad for Teresa because it appears she was completely set up by Kim D. from the get go. Teresa brings in her own hair and makeup people and didn't need to go to a salon with Kim D. I'm not a big salon/spa person, but the whole "salon" set up was a little off to me. Then, this guy appears out of nowhere, no formal introduction, just a little blip about Melissa, which obviously set off bells for Teresa.
Fast forward to the damn fashion show (which if ANY of them ever attend again I will give up on all of them!) and the guy reappears- but no one is even really paying attention. Honestly, it wasn't some big record-scratching moment, right? Melissa is either super smart and plays dumb because she knows where this is going, or she truly doesn't remember this guy, whatever. But, why would Teresa go there- bring the whole thing up in the bathroom? Why not wait until the next day, another day, whenever you do the whole rundown of the night? It made NO sense for her to bring it up. Then, it made even less sense for Melissa to call Joe. She called him, saying he would come and take care of this, then acted all surprised and annoyed when he arrived. Who's watching their kids, BTW?
Oddly, I find myself also a little annoyed with Jacqueline, too. I'm usually a huge Jacqueline fan, but WTF? Why are you stoking the fire with the little text updates and repeating the friend's play by play to anyone and everyone, and then in a classic high school move, decides not to sell out her source. Whatever!!

They are all about 17 years old, IMO!
I agree! Something was up with Jac, she even said something like she knew about it for 2 weeks. And she gave contradictory statements to Joe. At first she said she got a text and then she said she overheard Angelo saying he was going to embarrass M. And the scene of her going over the Joe, it was weird how she took out her cell phone, like she was reading lines I thought on her phone. She seems really off to me. That whole playdate thing too where she secluded herself and then shout pouted 'oh i thought you guys just wanted time alone'...she seems like she is on something acually or just so out of it all of the time. Her convo with her daughter on skype was really odd too.
I find her really annoying.
And then how shocked she was when T said maybe she was being set up. Again she just seems like she is on something or is not really there.
They all do act like they are 17. Why do we even watch this? lol. This is the first season I have ever watched any of the real housewives shows. I think it's going to be my last.
Anyone know when they are going to announce casting for season 5?

On another site I visit they linked to a blog (can't remember unfortunately) that basically said the mutual friend of J & T who had been texting Jaq about the drama was a Producer of the show (she's been let go now) so it does seem Bravo set the whole thing up.
They're all nuts in my opinion. And over the last couple of episodes I think Melissa, Caroline, and Jacqueline have all shown to be even more nuts than T (and that's saying a lot). I did read the article pp mentioned further down on the board and think it's totally believable that Bravo instigated the whole thing. Though, Melissa certainly fed into the drama by calling Joe and begging him to come down for no real reason. Such drama whores.

Yes, this is true. It was set up by Bravo, but then that producer was later fired.

I agree. I don't know the whole craziness w. t b/c i just started watching during season 3, but the rest of them do seem worse than T. The whole two seasons, every episode all they did was talk about her and they were always wondering where t was at, what was she doing, what was she saying. They all seemed obsessed with her and would get mad over the dumbest things (like the toast in Napa) I cant stand Caroline and her kids, she tries to portray them as hardworking kids, when they are incredibly spoiled and lazy. Jac, really seems like she is on drugs. And Mel I haven't liked since the first episode b/c of what they did at the baptism. And that whole thing of her stalking T while she was on season 1 and 2 really doesn't sit right with me. T. is no angel, I am sure. She has some really serious issues, legal issues and her marriage is not a good one. Her brother should have stepped back and let her figure her life out and do what she had to do to get her family back on her feat. Because I do think that is her motivation. She has about 8 million in debt that she has to pay off, I think she is trying to do that. And then in walks in her manipulative sister in law trying to interfere and show she is better than T. Really messed up in my opinion. They all are nuts. I don't know why anyone would want to be a part of this. I also think Bravo provokes or has a hand in the drama. They must be the scum of TV networks.
Here's a pretty funny recap for anyone interested:
