BQ: There is nothing like a hot summer day! I'll take 90 a few times during the summer. 70-75 and no humidity is perfect, though! Cyclists generally prefer warmer temps than runners. 40 is cold for us as we have a built in wind chill factor in riding.
Fri - nothing, worked late Sat - 30 mins yoga while I watched TV Sun - ran 10.6 mi, and went to the kids’ cross country meet. They’re exciting to watch, the times are starting to come down.
Just hanging out I’d take a perfect 70 degrees. Working out, like running outside, maybe the 40 degrees.

Fri: 5 mile walk Sat: 8 mile interval run Sun: 4.5 mile run
BQ: Currently it’s 90* which is way too hot for anything but hanging at the pool. 70* is good for regular runs (ie, not racing). 40* is too cold for everything. At 40* my fingers freeze (even with gloves on). But for racing weather, I’d rather have 40* than the others!
All weekend- nothing! I have a broken toe and couldn't do the half marathon I was registered to do.
I did go away still and spectated my friends running a full marathon. They all crushed it, and I talked to a really cute cop who was directing traffic for the runners.
BQ- The colder the better for running. I enjoy 80 degrees in the summer, so I can swim. Other than that.. fall weather is where it is at! Hoodies, jeans, and boots please!
melmel48 , I’ve been thinking about you. Hope your toe is healing and you are feeling ok!
Thanks!
In my non-professional ortho opinion, I think things are going well! LOL. The bruising is almost completely gone; along with the swelling. Slight twinges of pain; but overall I think it should be healing perfectly.
I was able to find a patch of grass to sit down on while spectating the race yesterday, so that helped!
I will see the ortho again next week for follow up x rays.
