Wash & condition w/Trader Joe's Tea Tree stuff. Sometimes I'll follow up with this conditioner from Love Beauty & Planet bc it smells delightful. When I'm conditioning, I use the brush to distribute the conditioner through. Then I squish to condition.
After conditioning, I layer with praying hands Cantu Curling cream, then AG ReCoil. Again, use the denman brush to distribute.
I step out of the shower to plop into a t-shirt while I wash my body, shave, etc.
After I'm out of the shower, I bring my hair down, section it and apply Kinky Kurly Knot Today Curling Custard. Again using the denman to distribute and/or use it to create curls on the stubborn pieces. Here's a good YouTube on it
After that is done, I grab some cheap LA Looks Gel (you know that stuff from the 90s) and with my head upside down I put a generous glob of it and scrunch it in my hair.
Re-wrap hair to plop for 20-ish minutes or so.
Then I diffuse until dry. Scrunch out the crunch with Argan Oil from TJ's
*and this is why I wash my hair once a week. /exhausted

ETA - I'm a 2C/3A hair type
This is very helpful, thank you! My hair is about the same type.
I got my hair cut to shoulder length about 2 months ago and started brush styling almost exclusively. I use a spray leave in (Shea Moisture brand), then brush my hair while soaking wet. I section it, add ecoslay Orange Marmalade, and curl around the brush/handle. Usually I twist it a bit more just to help it keep its shape. Scrunch any excess moisture out and flip my head over, then apply ecoslay Jelloshot. Depending on time and/or laziness, I either wrap up in a t-shirt to dry or diffuse (preferred method). Then scrunch out the crunch with ecoslay oil (I really like this brand, if you can't tell).
I have fine hair, so normally styling upright isn't recommended, but I find this gives me the best curl and least amount of frizz. Plus I curl the top parts up and away from my head. And blow dry upside down.
