Sorry, I'm really new to 401k's so not fully understanding how the maximums work.
Does the $19,500 limit include the employer contribution?
So, for instance if someone made $165,000 (I do NOT, nor will I ever make this amount) even if the match was dollar for dollar up to 6%, you wouldn't get the full match b/c it would that would put you at $19,800?
goldengirlz, thanks. That's what I thought but then reading the IRS website confused me. But, now that I went back and read further down, I see that the combined amount is $57k. Definitely won't have to worry about that one any time soon (or ever)!
