i am really appreciating some of the thoughtful analysis & discussions I am seeing about his legacy. It's complicated basically...he was a good person with a lot of honor who served our country & Bush/Cheney/Rumsfield and the intelligence agencies used him as a pawn. He did a lot of wonderful things & his place in history will always be as the pawn W. used to sell the world on WMD in Iraq.

That’s one way to look at it, sure. A pawn without agency. Or an intelligent man who made the decision to advocate for a war he didn’t believe was necessary that led to the deaths of thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis. Don’t worry I won’t have nice things to say about Bush and his sweet paintings when he passes away either, not sure why we have to absolve Powell in death.
