Have you read anything about the exhibit coming to The Franklin Institute? I'm thinking of getting tickets to take my son as one of his Christmas presents. I haven't seen an exhibit like this there though - do they usually have great ones? We've been there before and really liked it. We're also huge HP fans and loved The History of Magic exhibit when it was in NYC and love the new store, so I think we'll like it no matter what. Anyone else planning to go?

Oooh we will be in Philly for Easter. If it's still going on we will definitely go. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago we saw the mummy exhibit there and it was really well done. (At least I'm 99% sure it was at the FI- I'm now second guessing myself).

If you want tickets, get them fast! It's only there for like 10 days. turkletsmom, It think it's dates were only like Feb 18-28, so not during Easter. When I got tickets the other day I started out 2706 in line, with a wait time estimated over an hour. It ended up being 58 minutes. Hurry!

Where did you even get tickets? I didn’t think they were available yet?

I was looking at dates for April. Maybe the system was overloaded? I was able to get right in today, but when I looked right after I got the code the wait time was iver an hour.

Interesting… i went to the website and they are still saying “sign up to be notified for when tickets go on sale” so I assume they are doing a rolling thing?
I got tickets to go over spring break! I got an email for presale tickets. I don't know when the official sale starts.
I don't know what the Crayola exhibit there was like, but my son loved The Crayola Factory when he was little. It's in Bethlehem. I know some people don't like it, but I thought it was a lot of fun for littler ones. We went a few times and had a great time.

The Crayola Factory is great!
The exhibit was not like that, though. It wasn’t about crayons really… lol

Hmm, I had a presale code, maybe the presale was only for ten days? Because I was hoping to go in March, but that wasn't an option. I hope you all get tickets and it's as awesome as we are hoping!
Try this code - I got it in my email this morning after seeing my thread and was able to grab some tickets. HPIMGE21
This is going to be my first mother/daughter trip with my oldest daughter and I'm giving it to her for Christmas, so thank you!
That's going to be so much fun! We're just doing a day trip, but I'm giving the tickets to my son for Christmas too. I think he's going to hope we're staying over. We've done a couple of overnights in Philadelphia and loved it. My husband and I have to take different days off over spring break to be home while school's closed so we can't stay.
I saw but I don't see anywhere on there site to enter it? Only an option to get on their mailing list.
Message me your email me and I'll send you the email with the link. Maybe it's a different link than their general website.
Could you send it to me too if I pm you my email. I was trying to do it yesterday with a code but was also having issues with even finding where to enter it
So for the Philly people, what else is fun to do with an amazing and smart 11 year old (almost 12 at that point)? We will have about a day and a half after carving out time for the exhibit.

Thank you! I signed up with my email when you posted this and got the code in my email today. I bought the tickets and I’m sure DD is going to be surprised and so excited for this Christmas present! Thanks again!

Philadelphia Museum of Art or thr Barnes Foundation!
Hi!! I just wanted to bump this because we went to the preview tonight. The exhibit officially opens on Friday so tonight was a test run. It wasn’t 100% complete but it was so good. They recreated sets, they have so many costumes and props, there’s a live Maurader’s map that you can have your name on, and there are many interactive spots (like the wardrobe with a boggart!).
They gave us tickets to come back later while it’s there so we could get the full experience. Honestly, we saw so much that I wonder what we didn’t get! Ha. Enjoy everyone who has tickets!
Warning: butter beer in the gift shop is $10 a bottle. 😳🤣
Has anyone been? I talked to a friend who did the preview but she said it sounded like a lot of the stuff she did wouldn’t be available to the regular public.
