As others have done, I'm opting not to put this in the November thread, so people can avoid it if they aren't feeling up for it at the moment.
For a background refresher, I'm 43 and have never been pregnant. Didn't start trying until 42 and learned my tubes are blocked. To hopefully get to a child faster than multiple egg retrievals at my age (low-ish AMH, elevated FSH), we went straight to donor eggs. First batch of frozen yielded no embryos. Second of 4 fresh (different, proven donor), we got two embryos, with one euploid.
After a cancelled fully medicated transfer cycle and instead a modified natural cycle, I'm officially pregnant and cautiously optimistic. First beta at 9 days past transfer was 81.5, and my second at 11 days past (this morning), was 231. So almost tripled in exactly 48 hours.
My clinic doesn't do a third beta if your numbers doubled, so now we wait for the ultrasound on 11/24, when I'll be 6w4d.
I was shaking so hard when my nurse called on Saturday morning (we didn't test at home in advance) that my notes of the numbers look like a 4-year old made them.
December 10 update: I'm 8 weeks, 6 days today. We saw the embryo with a heartrate of 128 the day before Thanksgiving (6+4), at which point I graduated from my clinic. Our first regular OB appointment was Monday (8+2), and the heartrate was 177 and measuring right on track. So, things seem good so far. We're doing NIPT just for some added insurance in a couple of weeks, and I'll be fully weaned from meds next Saturday, at 10 weeks. I'm excited to be done with the estrace and progesterone suppositories!
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
