I did a ton of volunteering this weekend so not much working out. Nothing Friday, Saturday I ran 3 mi, and today I walked all over the place at a cross country meet and then also picking up trash with my Girl Scout troops. I did about ten minutes on the gym bike because I just didn’t have more time. And then we tore down another event, lifting and pushing stuff. I’m beat.
My goals are just to keep moving in some capacity. I am trying pretty hard to try to still do something most days, but working out is one of the things I have to cut now sometimes because I’m working full time again. Some of the nonprofit stuff should ease a bit soon which would be welcomed quite frankly and hopefully I can put more time towards working out.
Friday: 20 min Peloton cycle + 30 min full body strength Saturday: 60 min Peloton cycle Sunday: 45 min Peloton cycle and some yoga
BQ: Nothing crazy...just staying active and keeping up my routine. I have started doing some yoga, and find that my hips and hamstrings are super tight. I am going to make it a small goal to incorporate more yoga.
Friday: 30 min Peloton ride, 10 min core, 30 min lower body strength, stretch Saturday: 30 min Peloton ride, 30 min upper body strength, stretch Sunday: 30 min Peloton tread walk, 10 min yoga, 20 min full body stretch
BQ: This week I’m finishing up a running program and then I’m taking some de-load time. I’m feeling a little beat up right now after the last 8 weeks of full effort between cardio cross-training plus strength workouts. So, after this week I’m giving myself a little time for active recovery and lighter efforts. After my recovery time I’m starting a tread running program because it’s starting to get a little too cold for me to comfortably run outdoors right now, and I absolutely hate running in layers, gloves, etc because then I sweat too much.

Fri: 5 miles of walking Sat: 4.5 mile run, plus 4 miles walking Sun: 4.2 mile run, plus 5 miles walking
(My mom was in town and we did a lot of sightseeing, shopping, etc, which helped me get all those miles in!)
BQ: I have a half marathon Dec. 5. Then, I'm hoping to take the rest of December easy, b/c 2022 will involve training for a marathon. I'm feeling burnt out right now and I need to get back to enjoying/wanting to run since I have a busy running year ahead.
Friday - was supposed to get in a short shakeout run, but H went in to work early so womp womp on that. Saturday - half marathon! My first one. I ran it with my BFF rather than for time, tiny regrets because I finished with a LOT in the tank and I'm curious how much faster I could have gone, but we had so much fun. And since it was my first it was an instant PR anyway. Sunday - Rest and chores
Bonus - I'm closing out the end of the year with just running, and kind of loving it. I like biking and swimming, but running is hands down my favorite. I signed up for a few fun shorter races with my BRF's. I've got our local turkey trot, then a 5 miler that has a fun after party in December (cookies and mulled wine). And then the big one that my training/goals is actually aimed at is the last of my 2020 deferrals in January - and my goal for the next month is to figure out whether I can conceivably run the 50k or if I want to take it easy on myself and just do the 25. This coming weekend would be a 14 miler sat, and an 8 miler on sunday. If I run the 14 and then say f this noise to the 8, then we have our answer I think.

I ran the Richmond marathon on Saturday! The rest of the weekend was rest and recovery.
BQ: No major plans. I’ll be in recovery mode for a few weeks. I plan to spend the winter working on shorter distances, with the goal of running some races in the 10k-half marathon range in the spring.
