Probably a bad question to ask after I already bought 10-$1000 I bonds.....will buying 10 I bonds at $1000 each earn the same amount of interest as buying 1-$10,000 bond? My reasoning for doing separate ones is so I can only cash out what/if I need and let the others continue to grow with interest....

It’s the same amount of interest either way, but you didn’t have to buy ten separate bonds. You can cash out part of an electronic I-Bond and leave the rest in place. The minimum to cash out is $25 and you have to leave at least $25 (principle and interest) remaining.

Where is the emoji for smacking my forehead with my hand? Thanks I did not know that. Back in the days of paper bonds from grandparents I liked cashing out $500 at a time during college so I didn't blow all of the money I had in bonds.
