No, probably not, lol. Although the thought of having the Home Alone house on display sounds awesome. Depending on how long it takes to assemble, I may display it during Christmas and then take it apart and pack away with the Christmas decorations and reassemble every year. I really enjoy putting them together, and I think it sounds fun to make it a Christmas activity. My husband does have a bunch of Star Wars LEGO sets that are displayed on some shelves in our office, but my kids don’t care about displaying LEGO projects. They actively play with all their Legos.
Would you disassemble into numbered bags so you could use the instruction guide to rebuild? I love assembling Lego sets, but my current rule is I can only buy what I'm willing to display. I have a small house and limited space. The idea of rebuilding appeals to me, but breaking down in a way that facilitates rebuilding seems daunting. This rule helps save money though... I wish there was a subscription service where I could get rent a Lego set for a couple of weeks so I could put it together, enjoy it briefly, and return it.
The Lego piano in my front entry way is a great conversation starter though. People thinks it's awesome.
That exists!! It's called Net Bricks! My best friend has gotten it for her son for years.
