What was supposed to be a small renovation of my laundry room and half bath that turned into renovating my entire first floor with the exception of my kitchen cabinets? Well, over a year later, and the pantry is finally done! LOL My husband still hasn't hung the decor that I purchased for the wall across from the cabinets, but if I wait for that to happen, it may be another year
All in all, we gutted the space down to the studs. We built the floor up to make it level with the kitchen. All new electric in the space, new flooring, new wood work, a new back door and garage door (previously the garage door was just a hollow interior door and did nothing for sound or temperature control), we ditched the baseboard heater completely, opened up the doorway, and my husband build all new cabinetry to fit the space exactly. I originally wanted to do a stone counter, but decided to just wait until we redo the kitchen and have matching counters, so we just did butcher block. I don't even remember our budget at this point because there was so much scope creep, but I'm very happy with how it turned out.
The cabinets will be used mostly for storage of my small appliances to are currently stored in the basement due to lack of storage in the kitchen.
ETA: Paint Colors (all are Sherwin Williams). We pretty exclusively use the Emerald line. And for the woodwork we use the Emerald Urethane Enamel which is pricey, but worth every penny.
Walls - Opaline Woodwork - Pure White Cabinets - Cape Verde Walls in adjacent kitchen - Tidewater
I just updated my post with the paint colors I used. It's SW Cape Verde and I'm obsessed.
We had a SW Blue Peacock powder room in our old house, and I loved it. It's just a little bluer, but similar depth. The only thing I didn't like about it, was that the dark color in a bathroom kind of showed water marks by the sink.
Our bedroom in our new house is SW Tidewater so I see we have a lot of overlap, lol.
