I'm helping my parents with selections for their new condo. We are working on some final choices with lights and plumbing.
Kitchen has white perimeter cabinets, medium dusty brown island, white backsplash, and a white quartz counter with some gray & beige light veining. Sink is on island. Appliances are stainless. So pretty much a blank slate. This is open to a great room with a fireplace that is a light creamy color with some little gold-ish flecks. Paint is almost surely accessible beige. Their current furniture has warmer wood tones (might eventually replace). Fireplace Stone
We think foyer light fixture will be a gold-toned open lantern style. Currently, pendants over kitchen island are just clear ripply glass (but could change). Dining fixture hasn't been figured out but thinking a drum fixture with some kind of gold trim. In case it matters, the main floor guest bath will have gold hardware ("champagne" or something; it just looked SO GOOD with the counter, cabinets, and faucet style), but the other baths and laundry are chrome.
She had originally planned on doing chrome faucet with a darker pewter hardware on cabinets, but now that we started this thing with the gold lights, it feels inconsistent. But we don't want to SUPER be leaning into this gold trend everywhere! So now we aren't sure if they should consider doing kitchen faucet gold, or stick with chrome. But then what hardware? Still pewter? or gold also? but that's a LOT of gold. Don't really like the stainless or the black faucet for various reasons.
So....what finishes would you choose to play well together for 1. faucet, 2. light fixtures, and 3. kitchen cabinet hardware??

I wouldn't go super shiny, but I don't know that it would be too much if you did a matte gold, and had small knobs or thin pulls. Matte brass is also an option if you can find something you like. Trends come and go, but TBH changing out a faucet and knobs is not a huge deal if they don't like it in a decade or so. :-) In our new bedroom we have matte gold bedside lamps, frames, and knobs on the cabinets with a lot of white and beige-y colors and I really like it. I'm also planning to do all matte bronze hardware (towel ring, faucet, light) in the powder room reno on the first floor, along with navy/cream tile and white/beige walls.
These are the knobs I have -- pricey, but I couldn't find anything I liked nearly as much. They're not as bulky as they look online -- in fact, I was going to post a pic but realized you can barely see them. I'll post it anyway.
Thanks so much! That looks beautiful! And yes, it wouldn’t actually be shiny gold. It would be a brushed color. I think it’s actually called champagne bronze or something like that, but it pretty much looks like a matte gold color.
