It is Friday, right? What have you been reading this week?

QOTW: Do you use bookmarks? If so, what kind?

I've been reading Girl at War by Sara Novic. The book centers around the early 90s wars in the Balkans, something I have always wanted to know more about. It's really fantastic.

QOTW: I read books on my Kindle 99% of the time. When I do read a physical book, I tend to grab random scraps of paper. I'm also guilty of folding corners over to mark my place.

I stayed up late last night to finish State of Terror. I liked it! I was a little surprised that Louise Penny found a way to tie-in Armand Gamache/Three Pines.

Next up is The Push.

QOTW: If I'm reading a physical book, yes, I use a bookmark. I used to dog ear pages but at some point I decided I didn't like messing up my books like that.

I finished Pachinko by Min Jin Lee, 4*, and I should finish The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews tonight.  I am starting Crying In H Mart by Michelle Zauner
 next.

QOTW: I usually use my library receipt because when I read a physical book it usually comes from the library. However, I bought myself a wooden library card bookmark for St. Nick's Day.

I’m reading The Book of Form and Emptiness by Ruth Ozeki, which is very good so far.

QOTW: I have a bunch of magnetic bookmarks. My favorites are a little bigger so they can clip more pages (I don’t know why that’s better. It just is).

Hostage by Claire Mackintosh (wtf)

One Night on the Island by Josie Silver (I liked her other books well enough but this one seemed forced)

I’m trying to catchup on some graphic memoirs now but I have a lot of holds in.
