What company do you recommend for credit monitoring? I want to set something up as DH has had his ID stolen and we have reason to believe our info is “out there” from different breaches. I want something affordable that will let me know if something is amiss but not annoy us with spam.

I’ve had my Identity stolen twice and it really sucks! It was a long time ago so IDK if my reviews on any company would be relevant. I think I used Identityguard. Experian has one now. Almost all of my credit cards come with free monitoring and I’ve had some other free services provided after data breaches. Capital One’s monitoring is my favorite due to the features. It has an alert anytime you have a credit inquiry and will even report things like a compromised email address on the dark web. Chase is great too. You may have to adjust your email / text alert settings.
He should also freeze his credit with all 3 agencies-Transunion, Experian, and Equifax.
His id was stolen about ten years ago and we’ve had our credit frozen since but are looking more for Id theft and other protections beyond just credit. (Insurance, unemployment, etc)
