If you have a fiction book we have not read yet as part of Book Club (check here), that you think might be a good choice for 2022, please list it here! It doesn't have to be a book you have already read yourself and it doesn't even have to be a book that is already published (it just needs to be published by the end of 2022). I'll later make a poll out of the recommendations from this thread and the ones with the most votes will be included in next year's monthly book club picks.
Please also indicate the genre for the book, if possible. (Examples: romance, historical fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, mystery/thriller, general fiction, classic, etc)
All Quiet on the Western Front by Remarque (classic) Landline by Rowell (general fiction) The Fifth Season by Jemisin (fantasy) Once We Were Brothers by Balson (historical fiction) Before I Go to Sleep by Watson (mystery/thriller) The Kind Worth Killing by Swanson (mystery/thriller) Ghosted by Darhower (romance) The Simple Wild by Tucker (romance) The Space Between Worlds (sci-fi/romance) Dark Matter by Crouch (sci-fi)
Not yet released: The Diamond Eye by Quinn (historical fiction, March) Run Rose Run by Parton/Patterson (mystery/thriller, March) The Golden Couple by Hendricks/Pekkanen (mystery/thriller, March) Sea of Tranquility by Mandel (sci-fi, April)
Suggestions: The Forest of Vanishing Stars by Harmel - Historical Fiction Sparks Like Stars by Hashimi -Historical Fiction Between Shades of Grey by Sepetys - Historical Fiction The World Played Chess by Dugoni - Historical Fiction (I haven't read it yet, but I have heard multiple rave reviews about it)
New Books The Diamond Eye -Historical Fiction Sea of Tranquility - Sci Fi The Book of Cold Cases by St. James - Mystery/thriller (march)
I'd happily read Dark Matter (it's on my kindle already). I'll third Sea of Tranquility as that's on my list for next year. And I'll second The Book of Cold Cases because I also want to read that.
New entry: Violeta by Isabel Allende - historical fiction

Two classics I've had on my list forever are Doctor Zhivago and Shogun. I'll just throw those out there in case anyone is interested.

Already out: The Inheritance Games—YA Under the Whispering Door—Fantasy The Night She Disappeared—Suspense The Four Winds—Historical Fiction The Book of Longings—Historical Fiction
I tried to pick books that would lead to good conversations rather than ones that I just really liked a lot.
The Husbands by Chandler Baker (Thriller?) Girl at War by Sara Novic (historical fiction but recent history) A Children's Bible by Lydia Millet (dystopian fiction)

Project Hail Mary (sci-fi) Great Circle (historical fiction I think - I really want to read this!)
I've read Dark Matter although it's been a while now, and it is really good. And as PP mentioned, he has Upgrade coming out in 2022, which is course is on my TBR!

I really enjoyed The Inheritance Games! There is a second book out as well that was good, but not as good as the first. And now I’m eagerly waiting on the 3rd book to be released.
Please none of the Simple Wild series. I do not get the appeal of a whiny female MC and a male MC who can’t communicate or realize his girlfriend hates Alaska.
