We are buying this home and im trying to figure out furniture for some rooms
Here’s the listing pic for the kitchen. What would you put for kitchen table and chairs? Looking for something round, clean lines and modern, I think wood to balance out the marble floors that im not in love with but won’t change since they’re new. I won’t have stools at the island since it’s so small.
Family room is really big and long…would you look for an oversized/long sectional like they have? I don’t mind the staging pic so maybe help me find something similar? I’ll use my current sofa and seating in another room, so really starting from scratch in this room

Will you have a TV above the fireplace? If so then I would not do the long sectional that is facing away. You could do 2 sofas facing each other and 2 club chairs on the end facing the fireplace. Or a long sofa facing the fireplace and a chair on each side.

Wow, that house is amazing! I agree with figuring out the t.v. situation. There's staging, and there's what you actually want for daily use, and if you're in any way t.v. or movie people (or even t.v. or movie-entertaining people like having Super Bowl or Oscar parties) you'll want to figure out what makes sense for t.v. viewing. I've seen some really cool curved couches lately that are good for floating in a bigger room like that to delineate some space. If it were us we would put a giant t.v. on the wall the couch is facing currently and just use the fireplace mantel for decor or art, and have a separate conversation cluster of armchairs or whatever around the fireplace, using rugs maybe to define the two areas.
I agree with a round or oval table for the kitchen, and also agree with bringing more natural materials in although if you have a wood dining table that would probably have a bigger impact than whatever you have in the kitchen. The shape of it would probably depend on how many people you plan on seating regularly in the eat-in kitchen. TBH it's never made sense to me to have an eat-in kitchen table steps away from a dining table but I know it's not uncommon and depending on your family's needs. It's a little hard to give advice without knowing more about your preferences -- like, are you frequently throwing fancy dinner parties and you'll want a nice space for a charcuterie board, or are you looking for a place to park the kids to do homework while you make dinner?
I think it would also help to see trufax photos and not the wide-angle lens listing photos, since it is for sure making things look way more elongated than I suspect they are in real life just looking at the doorways and stuff.

If you’re going to place a TV above the mantle I would not got a 7-seat long couch. That’s insane and weird and seems quite useless.
You have a similar configuration to our living room. We have a sectional now, but plan to replace it with two full length sofas (one along the wall with windows and one going across from right to left, and then we will add a small club chair to the left floating in front of the doors.

We have a long living room and we've made two sections. The fireplace area which is just for sitting and reading and the non-working fireplace area which has the tv over it. I'd do something similar.

I agree with doing the majority of the couch seating facing the tv. And that sectional is oddly long. If you think the seating is best situated that way, I would do 2 full sized couches with room to walk in between at least.
Agree with PP. I bet that sectional had a corner piece removed for staging so it opened up the room or something. I wouldn’t put the TV on the mantle unless you have to. I would do a big sectional in that room probably. But focus it on the wall that currently has the art.
For the kitchen table I think wood would be nice. It would have to be pretty modern to blend in. I do think the right piece would balance it. If there’s room I’d maybe go oval vs round, but otherwise round seems good. Maybe pedestal table so you don’t have table legs. If it was my house.....
In the living room I'd do two seating areas, one at each end of the room. One facing the TV one without the TV. I definitely wouldn't do a giant long couch. Do two normal sized couches instead.
In the kitchen I'd do a wood top table like you said. It looks like a pretty big room so I'd consider going on the larger side for scale.
For both I'd start looking at room and board as they have a variety of sizes for both couches and tables, and have more modern options and tons of fabric options.
