This is sort of a spin-off of the pets question. If you've had renovations done while WFH, what steps did you take to make it more tolerable? I figure I need a better set of noise-canceling headphones and to move my workspace upstairs and on the other side of the house. Is there anything else I'm not thinking of (short of just going into the office every day)?

I just warned people that it might get loud at times when I was on with them or that I might get interrupted. I talked to the people doing the work and asked them to not bother me if they saw my door was closed (or send me a text if they needed me and I'd come when I could). We made sure that we had access to the things we needed, such as water and food.
Talk to the contractor about warning you re power outages and Wi-Fi. We had several extension cord bc they would shut off certain circuits. Overall, I think it was beneficial that I was home through two major renovations to make calls on things. I had daily meetings with my contractor about the days’ work and warned him when I would be out of pocket. I didn’t emphasize the renovation at work bc I didn’t want them to think my attention was too divided.
