Home sound systems

What do you use for a home sound system? I’m thinking of getting something… I just don’t know what. I know next to nothing about this. It would be mostly for music, multi-room and would need to be wireless. Any recs? Anything to stay away from? Thanks!

We had a wired Sony surround sound system at our old house which was fine but we didn’t love. The subwoofer went out intermittently but cost almost as much to replace as a whole new system. When we moved we left it since it was physically connected to the house

We now have a Roku Streambar Pro and I really like it. They have other systems and extra speakers you can get but this worked well for our home/space/set up. We use Roku for all of our streaming so it’s extra convenient and the sound quality is great. It isn’t wireless but we bought a bracket to attach it right below our tv.

We have Sonos speakers. We have two play5 in our living room (paired). We also have a move that we can group and use in other rooms. We also have play1 in bedrooms.

We are not a google/Alexa house.

I’ve heard great things about Sonos. We have Apple HomePods in several rooms which all work together and have surprisingly good sound.
