Background: I am unexpectedly having to redo my master bathroom shower due to a shower pan leak and am now wondering if it makes sense to redo the entire bathroom given the $$$$ quotes I’ve received just for the shower. I would hate to spend what feels like an exorbitant amount of money to match the color and style of the rest of the current bathroom, which feels very dark and dated to me.
If I bite the bullet and redo the entire space, what are the best, or at least legitimate, retailers to buy a vanity from? I know my SIL recently purchased one from Wayfair, but it makes me nervous for some reason. I wish there was a local showroom of nothing but vanities and bathtubs lol; I would prefer to see and feel them first.

No idea in the best place — we’re still so far from our bathroom remodels I haven’t really looked into it yet. However, my mom and a friend ordered vanities from Wayfair within the past two years. Neither was thrilled with the experience or quality. I’ll probably avoid Wayfair after hearing their experiences.

Thank you for this honest feedback!
I wasn’t either or so I thought. I typically research everything to death and then a little bit more so feeling like I’m under pressure to just find it ASAP is unnerving.
We’ve also gotten one from Costco that we were happy with. It had a black granite countertop with molded sink. I found the black granite left watermarks so I’ve gone with light colours since then, but otherwise we were happy with the price and quality.
For those who have recently purchased new vanities, did you choose one with feet? So many of the ones I’ve seen online have the skinny little feet and I’m worried about how those would actually hold up over time. Like, if I lean on it will it come crashing down?

The Costco one looked footed but it was actually a toe kick. Probably for the best since it’s 300 lbs
We bought a Home Depot vanity recently and it’s pretty cheaply made. I bought it bc it’s the only size that would work but I’m concerned at the particle board holding up.

I bought two from Wayfair and have been very happy with both. They carry different brands and have varying levels of quality. I just read through the reviews carefully.

We had a very small space to work with, so we ended up finding ours at a local building supply store that also does kitchen and bath design. We paid a little more, but it is so much better than what we could find at a big box store in that size.
I couldn't say it's the best place, but I'm very pleased with the three bathroom vanities we ordered from Wayfair. They included the counter tops and are holding up beautifully. Also, customer services was really good. I guess the counter top on one of them was broken at some point in transit and they called me right away to explain what happened, why it was going to be late, and when I could expect a replacement. It didn't really matter to me because my contractors were running so behind at that point, they could have been 6 months late and they still wouldn't need them yet, but it was nice that someone was on top of their shit

IDK if it was just that the in-store models were super beat-up but the vanities I saw in person at Home Depot looked super flimsy -- crooked doors and drawers, etc. I have made other big purchases from Wayfair, like our bed and bathtub, and had really good experiences, so I wouldn't hesitate to order from them if you found something you liked with good reviews. I got ours from Houzz, but it doesn't look like they offer the same model anymore and I can't say I had good customer service with them around other purchases.
We bought our MB vanity from Lowes. Even in pre-covid times it took months to get and delayed our entire project. I like the vanity and the quality is fine but I'd be cautious about the delivery timeframe. I believe ours was supposed to be available to ship when we ordered it.
I have one picked out at Menards for our powder room. I haven't checked into the shipping time yet because I'm still browsing. Overall, they don't have a great selection (unless you want farmhouse) but they had a few that I liked.
