Has anyone used this color in their home and would be willing to share pictures? Or any recommendations for a similar color?
I’m in the early planning stages of redecorating my finished basement. Right now my plan includes replacing the dated drop ceiling tiles (still deciding between black and white tiles), pulling up the beige carpet and putting down grey-toned LVP, doing a lime wash on the brick fireplace, and then paint.
We recently replaced the fluorescent lights with dimmable LED and as far as natural light goes, there is one small window.
There is a lot of unused space in the basement and I’ll be making it more of a hangout space for my teens by reorienting the existing furniture, getting rid of some things, and adding a pool table.
I love the SW Sea Salt color and it definitely goes with the vibe I have in my main living space. The walls in the basement are actually paneling which I don’t hate, they just need a refresh. I can post pictures later if it helps.
ETA Pictures - the couch is probably the only furniture staying. The only window is to the left of the fireplace.
Those photos are from when we sold it, and I would say I felt like it read a little grayer IRL than they seem to show, especially in the DR, which didn't get as good of light. It was a very calm color though, and I liked it a lot. We used SW Rainwashed with those same curtains in a room in our new house, it was just a little more aqua/less gray and a tad warmer.

We have it in our downstairs family room. It reads like the third picture Susie posted in our space. It's not the color we wanted on a large scale (even though it was our favorite swatch). We just haven't gotten around to repainting. It's growing on me but DH doesn't like it.

I’ve used it in all but one of my bathrooms. Let me see if I can share the listing photo from my old master bath because I used it there too. I really really love it.

Rainwashed in our old house. It is darker than Sea Salt but similar. My husband thinks that Rainwashed, Sea Salt, and Silver Strand are all so close in color that they’re nearly indistinguishable for him.
We used it in our primary bedroom and loved it so much that when we redid our attached primary bathroom we used it again. Depending on lighting it can be blue, green, or gray.
Our bathroom has a lot of overhead light now but one small window. This shows the color from multiple angles
Our bedroom has good light and it feels more blue. I was just telling H that if I ever repaint other areas of our house, I'd use Sea Salt in a heartbeat.
For comparison, the larger swatch painted on the wall is SW Sea Salt, and the smaller swatch and the cutting in are SW Rainwashed, which was what we ultimately chose for this room in our current house.
This is Rainwashed in natural light. I promise the room is more together now, lol.
This was the most “chameleon” color I’ve ever used. It was in our MBR for a while and each wall looked a different color - blue, green, gray depending on how the light hit it. I couldn’t take it anymore - lol - so we repainted a different color!
Our finished basement is SW rain washed. Sorry I don’t have any pics. I love the color because it’s a little darker than sea salt but doesn’t make our basement (with 2 windows) feel dark.
I used sea salt in our back family room. Our contractor thought it was a custom color once it was painted by the painters. I love it, but it definitely leans green in our space.
We recently refinished our basement, and also have gray ceramic wood look tile down there. For down there, we went with SW top sail. I also love that space, but it leans more blue.
I have gotten tons of compliments on both rooms.
I'd post pictures, but I have no idea how to do that.
My parents used it in their great room/hall and I think their primary bedroom and bath. It's nice. When there's more natural light it leans a lot bluer, less natural light more greenish. For a basement I might go with something a little less drab (like Rainwashed or Quietude).

I agree with this. I considered it for my office, and the swatch looked nothing like the color of online pictures.
Blue/green/grays in general vary so much depending on lighting that I don't actually think seeing pictures of anything other than your own space are even helpful.

I actually agree with this which is why I kind of wanted to see what it looked like in different spaces with different lighting, to make sure I like it LOL
That said, my living room and dining room are SW Opaline. It looks white in the paint can, but on the walls and depending on the lighting,it looks grey/blue/green. It's kind of crazy.
Has anyone used Sea Salt, Rainwashed (or anything similar / even more neutral) in a room with a fluorescent light? My laundry room has an overhead fluorescent and I've been so nervous to try to pick a color for in there, but these colors are in the range I am considering.

Fluorescent lights for residential applications generally have a colour temperature in the range of 2700-3000k, which is fairly warm/yellow tones. Assuming your laundry room doesn’t get a lot of natural lighting, I would expect the colour to appear more green in that kind of space.
