I know I’m often in the minority but I love Valentine’s Day! Last year we got Russ and Daughters delivered and I was going to order the same assortment again but I think there is a whitefish shortage. Now I have to think of something else. There is only so much pickled herring (the sub) we can eat! We thought about Katz’s but the reviews say things aren’t packaged well and I don’t have the energy to open a box that has been flooded with matzah ball soup. I’m trying to think of some place else that has things we don’t really have locally but I’m drawing a blank.
I love it too! I'm always up to celebrate for any reason. We used to go out every year but since the pandemic we've been celebrating at home. I actually prefer that so we'll keep that up.

This has been a long/short January. I was also off on damp January, so thanks for the clarification. While I've cut back, I'm not dry lol.
I'm supposed to get my first facial since Feb 2020 this weekend...so of course we're going to get a huge snow storm. I've already moved the apt once, and just had to move a separate hair apt (same salon), so I'm afraid to call and cancel...again. I'm sort of hoping they cancel everything, but I get if they don't work, they don't get paid.
I'm also pretty ahead on reading. If I really hustle I could finish a third book by month's end. I'm lucky to get 2 in January/Feb.
You can plant the bulbs after they bloom! I have a bunch of mini daffodils I’ve bloomed indoors and then planted outside and they are always the first ones up in spring.
That’s the plan. ❤️
I always thought they’d be too dried out or old since supermarket conditions aren’t great but nope!
Wait, don't all places put the cream cheese on for you? Is this #regional?
#regional I hate DD putting cream cheese on for me. They put too much and it’s messy
It seems more store specific in my area! And I hate when I have to put it on myself. I almost always get one on the road somewhere and having to do that myself in the car is annoying.

I knew it wasn’t just me! January and February are so dreary; it’s nice to do something!
SO my dad bought a new 2022 truck this AM. The heated seats and steering wheel feature are currently not functioning because of the chip shortage. One the chips arrive, they will install it and all will be great in the world.
For the inconvenience, they gave him a $4,000 gas card.

Thanks to having more than enough in my HSA, I was able to pay a pricy specialist bill for Miss R. A $500 bill (that’s w insurance!) used to have to be broken into payments. Imagine my surprise seeing that I had more than enough to cover it. This would not have happened last year …
I Doordashed Dunkin because I was craving a bagel. Why would they put the cream cheese on the bagel for you? I like to control how much I put on it!
Quarantine with a 4 year old is making me crazy.
Why would they NOT put it on, if you asked for a bagel with cream cheese? I order that specifically for the convenience of having the food ready to be eaten, especially if driving. I discovered that Panera doesn't put the cc on the bagel and ever since then I have actively avoided them when craving a bagel with cc.
Well, I'm with you blondemoment123 . I like to control how much I put on (usually a ton). I can't eat bagels anymore but David does all the time and it always comes on the side in it's own little package.
DH is home today working. OMG he's messing up the puppy's schedule. Dude, she is like a toddler. She still needs 2 naps a day.
She was a hot mess the other weekend because she was overtired from the snow. I was finally like "EVERYONE SIT ON THE COUCH AND DON'T MOVE!" and sure enough she laid down and fell asleep.
The only places around here that don't put cream cheese on bagels are kind of crappy bagels (like starbucks). I'm not a bagel snob (I will eat those bagels) but I've never been to a good bagel shop that didn't put the cream cheese on the bagel. And for the record, I don't like a lot of cream cheese so I either tell them to go light on the cream cheese or I just scrape the excess of myself.
I didn't know there were actually people that didn't want someone to "finish" making the bagel for them.
Here's a random, I used to work with a woman who ate butter as a snack. Just a stick of butter, not on anything. She would just slice off pieces and eat them. She was super thin, too. I think she was in her early 20s and this was more than 10 years ago, so I wonder if this has caught up to her by now lol.

This reminds me of the exchange in City Slicks after Curly dies "the man ate bacon w/every meal....you just can't do that!"
“With sorrow—for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection—we dissent,”
I got an email on Sunday from Sony that I was selected to maybe purchase a PS5 on Monday. So yesterday I spent ~4 hours waiting and waiting and waiting in a queue that was worse than Ticketmaster to NOT get a PS5. whomp whomp
The most annoying part was even though I never made it to the top of the queue, I could see from having another tab open that consoles were coming in and out stock. I was even able to add one to my cart, but I couldn't complete the purchase because it wasn't my turn. What a waste of half a day.
I had a biopsy this morning, and the nurse told me the results may take five business days. Why did I have two or three days in mind? I'm trying to be patient, but the idea of waiting through another weekend for answers sounds miserable. Maybe I'll try melatonin tonight.
In happier news, a friend gave me a big box of Godiva chocolate last night, I'm surrounded by Girl Scout cookies in my little home "office," and some college pals and I are planning an online trivia night. Life is good.

I feel like they always over estimate to be safe. I only waited 2 or 3 days. OF COURSE - this varies based on lab and provider. Crossables crossed that your wait is shorter than expected <3

My kids love to snack on pieces of butter 🤷🏻♀️
My H and I went to college with a guy who put a stick of butter in his coffee every day.

This is an excellent example of weight not correlating to health. Lol
(I know some people need extra fat/calories. I’m not judging her. Don’t @ me.)
