We just got back yesterday and I already want to go again š¬ maybe itās because we havenāt been anywhere in 2 years, but it just was so much fun with the girls. And selfishly I loved how immersive it is to escape the hellscape that is the world right now.

We go in spurts, where weāll have a yearly trip for a few years, then take a break, then go back to yearly. We like a longer stay and live farther away, so we tend to only be able to afford yearly.
We have APs to DL right now, and are aiming for 6ish trips for the year. Butā¦we just did an impromptu trip last week, planned and booked 12 hours in advance. The spontaneity was really fun. I do think that being totally immersed for a few days right now is a really big relief.
ETA - we live in northern Ca, so itās a 7-8 hour drive for us. We sometimes fly down if weāre planning to only go to the parks for 2-3 days, but otherwise each visit is a decent amount of effort and planning. If we lived within 1-2 hours, weād be there a lot more often.
We are Disneyland locals and have passes. We used to go every couple of months. Weāve been 4 times since it reopened.
Last month we took a 2 week trip to Disney World. It was the first time DH and I had been in 14 years and the first time our kids have been.
I doubt we will go back to WDW again but we have a Disney cruise booked for May of 2023. We booked it before the Omicron surge assuming that by 2023 it would be safe to cruise.
Hoping that after the cruise our next vacation will be Aulani.
Yes it was fantastic. I think I will do a write up of the trip on here. We rode so many rides and did 3 days of rope drop to close/8pm. I think we walked close to 30 miles lol. But I really didn't want to leave.
I doubt we will be back for a while because DL is far from us and we probably will go somewhere international for our next few big trips. But I wish we lived closer so a weekend trip would be more of a possibility.
WDW is either a 3 hour flight or a 16 hour drive for me so that limits how often I can get there.
I went when DD was 3.5, 5 and 6 because I wanted to pack in the trips while she really believed that everything was real. On the trip where she was 6, it was obvious the magic was eroding but it's ok. She just turned 8 and is constantly asking to return. I had bought an annual pass on that trip (Jan 2020) and was planning to take the kids for a bunch of random trips since DS would still be free that year but then COVID.
Now we are planning to drive down for spring break. DS will be newly 4. He doesn't quite believe in the magic like DD did and he is still terrified of the furry characters at Sesame Place so he may not love them at Disney either. I think they don't come close to guests anymore for hugs so that might actually be good for DS (they do give hugs at Sesame Place and he wants nothing to do with that). I'm going to tentatively book us for Jersey Week in November also.
We live in the midwest so not as often as we would like to go. We have been once in 2019, one trip planned for 2020 that got covid canceled, and going to Disneyland in two months.
This will be our 3rd time, we went in 2017, 2019, and now 2022. Our trips are timed out by whether or not my spring break week is connected to Easter or not. This year itās the last week of March while Easter isnāt until mid-April, so weāre taking advantage of it.
I think every four years is our average. It is a spendy trip and our taste match it lol. I just submitted a DVC request for Poly in November. Hoping I am not too late. They were at least showing availability.
Last trip was 2018.
Anything going forward will just be long weekend type trips.
We wanted to take a nice trip when both kid was 10 as we felt that was the ideal age. Old enough to hang but young enough to fully love the magic.
We go for the day at least yearly (except for the last two) because my ILs live 30 minutes away from WDW. Usually every other year we stay for three or four days at the parks, and every few years we make it a week.
We are doing MK for a day in April and the Disney Cruise next year.
Weāre local to Disneyland. We usually go once a year, but this year we have gone twice, once by ourselves and once with visiting family. We love Disneyland and I think about going more often, but itās expensive and it feels much more like a special treat if itās yearly.

I agree. I feel like it loses some of its appeal if you go too often.
We go to WDW once a year--usually during November for DD's birthday. I don't know how it became tradition but it did and it's something we all look forward to now. It's getting super expensive though so this upcoming trip may be our last one for awhile. We generally stay for a week so we can take our time and also see family, too.

It varies but has been minimum once per year. I have a bunch of family nearby, so we visit them and then do WDW.
My grandmother is 96 and won't be around much longer- our thought has been to keep going to WDW while she is around and then when she is not, it won't feel as necessary to go to Florida so often and the kids will be older to go on other vacations.

Since being an adult and getting into Disney, I've been to WDW/Universal 3 times. Twice for girls trips and once with my mom and sister. Disneyland, we had been going about once a year until the pandemic. This year I'm going to Disneyland for spring break and WDW for fall break. We love the beach too, so we don't just go to Disneyland - usually we do a few nights at the beach too. Next year my mom has a conference in Orlando in May, so I might join her and get a few park days in. If I had my choice, I'd probably go 4 times a year.

We live about an hour away from WDW and have passes so we go a lot - every other week or so, at least. We do an overnight long weekend usually once a month + 2-3 longer trips (4-6 nights). I snag cheap DVC rentals, typically.
But, we have a young (free) toddler who is the perfect age for frequent Disney trips so it's like our local museum/zoo. We don't have passes for anyplace else.
Before we moved to FL, we would go once a year for 7-8 nights.
We are local to DL. We had passes prior to COVID and had been going 10+ times/year since DS1 was 2 (heās now 7). We lost our passes with COVID and havenāt been back since. We are tentatively planning to go in June for my 40th bday (my only hesitation is how expensive it will be). My thought process right now is maybe June, one time during holidays (it will be for both boysā bdays, and then do the 3- day local pass). My parents pay for all of it for Christmas and bdays (we are a single income family so not in our budget). Other option is to do a day for each DS for their bdaysā¦but I like the idea of the 3 day pass so long as we can continue to do it for holidays (presidents weekend and spring break).
We were going about every 2 years but we missed our 2020 trip, so it will have been 4 years when we go next month (our 5th trip with at least one kid). DD2 barely remembers it so I think it will be great, but we are going big on this trip (also doing universal) and even with trip credits from 2020 this is $$. Like I canāt add it up bc I just donāt want to know.
I booked us to go back in September. There are just so many things we didnāt see, and the kids are at a perfect age. We are staying onsite in a suite. I would have stayed at the courtyard Marriott, but we couldnāt get a suite. We are flying this time instead of driving. Iām so excited! Itās basically our 10 year wedding anniversary trip š¬
We love Disneyland at Halloween. We went in 2019 and had another trip booked for 2020 but cancelled. We're going again this year. Anaheim is a quick flight for us - SNA is a non-stop on southwest. It's like four hours door to door.
Disneyworld is a long flight for us so we haven't been in 7 years. I want to go back once the Tron coaster opens. But I also loathe Florida so I have to balance those two things.

Next trip I want something relaxing!
Ha I was about to respond to this thread but I already did! We wonāt be back for awhile. The kids are now old enough to enjoy other trips on our bucket list (Ireland, Costa Rica, Paris) and holy $h&t did we spend $$$$ in April. And we all got Covid.

I'm 40 and I've never been lol. I'm only here on this board now because DH says it's time for us to consider going with our kids next year (they'll be 9 and almost 6). I really hope this doesn't turn into a regular thing for us - I'm hoping we can go once and be done with it.
I'm pushing for DL instead of WDW because I've never been to Southern California and I feel like it would be less busier during school break next April since all the New Yorkers go to WDW that week. OTOH, we could conceivably drive to WDW even though it sounds like absolute torture to me, but if air travel is still terrible next year then at least we have that option.

We drove on this last trip which was in April during spring break š. It doesnāt have to become a regular thing if you donāt want it to. I really enjoyed the back to back trips when DD was so enamored by the magic. DS didnāt care as much about the parks on this last trip so our trips will become less frequent soon enough. I do want to check out DL someday but since Iāve heard itās smaller and apparently more crowded due to more locals, Iām in no rush.
