Kitchen progress

It’s starting to look like a kitchen again! So far, we’ve had the hardwood floor that’s in the rest of our house extended into the cooking area of our kitchen (done before Christmas). In the last 6 days, they’ve updated the insulation (from 1960) on the exterior wall, new drywall, wiring, and some of the lowers are in.

Counter template will be done on Wednesday, but it will be about 6 weeks before they are ready to go in 😢. I’ll find out next week when my flooring guy will be back to refinish the floors.

So happy to not be in limbo anymore!

Our kitchen redo starts in just over a month and I'm starting to get really nervous about the house being in chaos--and of course, I'm second guessing all our choices, lol. Oh well, too late for that!

Thank you! I was definitely worrying about whether the gray would work, but now that they are in, we are in love with them.

I get you on the chaos. I am so tired of having stuff everywhere, and right now, not being able to make a meal any more substantial than a bowl of cereal. But, for the most part we did get into a bit of a groove after a while, and sort of embraced the chaos.

I’m sure once everything is said and done, you will love your new kitchen!

We’re going with a quartz with a white background. It’s the full countertop in this picture.

All cabinets (except 1) are in! This phase of construction should be done mid-week, and floor refinishing will start at the end of the week.

Does anyone know how to upload pictures to the website rather than the app? I keep getting error messages on the app 😕.
