We’re planning a day at Universal in a few weeks, but have booked two nights on property so we’re looking at other things to do in Orlando while we’re there (besides the parks). Has anyone been to Disney Springs? If so, is it worthwhile and about his long would you spend there? Websites are saying about 1/4 of a day? Looks like parking’s free, too (?), which would be a bonus…

Parking is free, but everything else there costs money. If you get there before 10, the hot air balloon is cheaper if you're interested in that. They have cars that are also boats and you can watch them launch (and also pay to ride them, too). There's a bowling alley and movie theatre. And then there are lots of stores to browse. Be prepared to spend $$. My kids love the lego store but pre-pandemic they used to have an outside area with huge bins of legos and you could build cars to race- my kids could spend hours there but sadly it hasn't re-opened yet. We ate at T-Rex per the kids request.
If you're looking for other things to do in Orlando, my kids really like the Orlando Science Center.

We didn’t enjoy it at all. It was very crowded (felt worse than the parks). World of Disney was so crowded my 12 year old had a panic attack and we had to leave.
There’s very little Disney, it’s mostly just an outdoor mall.
That being said, we did enjoy our meals at Jaleo, YeSake and T-Rex.
