QOTW:
I think I err on overpacking but I almost always end up wearing everything so maybe not? I’m rarely missing something I need but I have been on several trips where my shoe has broken and I have to buy a new pair. It’s become a running joke.
I finished Violeta recently. I was disappointed. It was fine but not my favorite by Allende.
I’m reading The Lincoln Highway right now and I love it so much. I can already tell it’s going to be one of my favorites this year.
QOTW: I am a great packer. We always packed really light when traveling figuring if we needed something we could just buy it at our destination. @ Now that we have kids…different story.

I also just finished Violeta. I listened to it on audiobook. I enjoyed it but it was a little long and by the end I was half listening. I’ve never read anything by her.
I finished Kite Runner. My goodness what a sad book. I was close to tears by the end.
I just started The Personal Librarian. It’s too soon to say but I hope it’s good.
I am reading Go Tell The Bees I am Gone and listening to the Lost Apothecary.
I usually have one or two things I don’t wear. My biggest struggle is that I don’t have enough weather-appropriate options if we’re somewhere with different weather than home. Ie: Phoenix from Denver in Feb.
I’m still reading Diagnosis - Solving the Most Baffling Medical Mysteries by Lisa Sanders, M.D. I love stuff like this and the cases are presented in a pretty digestible way. I should finish it today.
I feel like I both overpack and underpack. Last week I traveled and had several pieces of clothing I didn’t touch and many extra masks, but I still could have used a few different things. I also had to wash a pair of running socks in the sink and dry them overnight near the ventilation so I could make it home with a fresh pair. At least I worked out every day and burned through the socks I had, so that was a good problem to have, but I was really trying to plan ahead and thought I had mapped it out better.
I finished Olga Dies Dreaming by Xochitl Gonzalez (still wavering between 4 and 5 stars, but it was definitely a good one) and now flying through The Violin Conspiracy by Brendan Slocumb — it’s a page turner, literary mystery, and coming of age novel wrapped in a musical package. I’m seeing a lot of buzz for it, which seems to be well deserved.
QOTW: I’m more likely to overpack. We drive pretty much exclusively for travel, so it feels like there will be plenty of space for what-if items. And then we have to actually fit it all in…
I'm about halfway through Villains by VE Schwab. For some reason I thought this was new but the sequel is already out. I'm enjoying it but haven't had much time to read.
QOTW: I think I overpack a bit but MH and I usually split a checked bag for long trips so that's really not a lot. For driving trips, especially if we might be cooking, I definitely pack a ton. One time I almost brought my sodastream and moka pot along but restrained myself.

Finished The Wedding Date. I... did not enjoy it.
Currently reading Cinderella is Dead, which I am very much enjoying and trying to savor it and not finish. Also started The Wife Upstairs today and so far I'm not digging the main characters.
QOTW: Do you tend to underpack or overpack when you travel? There are not many things in life I excel at, but I've got packing down to an art. I don't think I over or under pack.

I made really good progress on "Local Woman Missing", and chipped away at "The Turnout"
QOTW: Overpack all the way. I'm finally starting to force myself to not even put something in my suitcase, and then review the suitcase and take out a few more items before leaving. I miss travel.

I’m currently reading “The Paris Apartment”. Not sure what I think about it but the secrets are coming out in the second half of the book. Don’t like many of the characters at all but I feel that’s how it’s supposed to be in this story.
As a low maintenance female, I still feel like I overpack! Lol. I think I’m just indecisive on what I’ll need.
