Day 1- We stayed at a Disney Springs hotel our first day and walked around DS and had dinner.
Day 2- Sunday- Epoct- We had to uber to Beach Club in the morning. We did not do genie+ this day. We decided to rope drop Frozen and buy ILL for Remy to save the Genie+ money. At 7am we were able to buy Remy for our party of 6 at 8:20pm. We rope dropped Frozen and then rode Test Track, Nemo, boat ride in Mexico then went back to Beach Club and swam. Went back to Epcot at night and got on Remy. It was cute!
Day 3- HS and Epcot- Bought genie+. At 7am booked MMRR at 5 and bought ILL for ROTR at 2:30. Rode TSM, Aliens, saw Lightning McQueen and Indiana Jones, finally went on ROTR. It was amazing. At 11am I booked Rockin Roller Coaster for 4:20 return. We took the skyliner back to Beach Club for like an hr rest. Walked back to HS to ride RRC and MMRR(this was disappointing). Went to Epcot. Rode Soarin and Nemo. Tried to go on Frozen but it was down late at night.
Day 4- MK- Bought genie+. At 7am booked Jungle Cruise for 4pm and ILL SDMT for 8pm. We were exhausted from the day before and running around and had a pool morning. Stacked all our genie + rides for the evening. I booked Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Barnstormer, Dumbo, Tomorrow Land Speedway, and had a ILL for SDMT. We watched fireworks.
Day 5- AK and MK- Bought genie+. At 7am booked Safari for 10:30am and ILL for FOP at 11:30 and SDMT for 8pm. Got to AK around 9. Rode Dinosaur, went on Safari, and FOP(this is awesome). At 11 I booked our next genie +, buzz lightyear for 3:30. Went to hotel after FOP. We rested and went to MK around 2:30. We rode Tomorrow Land Speedway and People Mover before our 3:30LL. At 1 I booked Big Thunder Mountain for 5:15. We had BOG reservations at 6. After dinner we rode Barnstormer, Dumbo, ILL SDMT, Tea Cups, It's a Small World, Haunted Mansion, Carousel, and Pirates. It was extra magic hours.
Day 6- HS last morning our flight was at night. Bought genie+ and booked Slinky for noon and ILL ROTR at 1:30. We got to HS late and ride lines were long. We went on TSM and waited 75 minutes. Went on slinky with our LL. Tried to ride ROTR at 1:30 but it was broken. We got a refund since we had to leave and couldn't return later to ride it. Hopped to Epcot and road Soarin and Nemo as our last rides.
I liked Genie+, but hated waking up at 6:50 every morning stressed out about booking rides. ILL and the popular rides go quickly. If you keep refreshing the app additional slots open up and you can book at like 7:15 and 7:30 so don't give up if you miss out at 7am. Also, if you click ILL and try to book a certain time, let says it shows 1:30 available, by the time you get to the checkout screen the return time could be late, like 8:30 or even gone.
We got to ride a lot of rides. FOP, ROTR, and SDMT are all worth it to purchase in my opinion. Remy was fun but I wouldn't pay for it again. I was very disappointed with MMRR, I feel like the ride could have been a lot more fun. The 'big' rides we weren't able to do were Space Mountain(just didn't want to wait), Splash Mountain (this was down a lot), and Tower of Terror (lonnnnggg wait times, like 2 hours), but we were able to do everything else using genie+ and ILL.
We are going the week of Easter and I think it’s going to be a disaster. I like to go early and hit the pool in the afternoon and it seems like buying ILL is going to be a crapshoot if we can get them before 2-3 pm?

How was BC? Any tips for staying there?
We also like being rope droppers and then leaving around lunch to get back to the resort and swim. But, buying ILL and genie+ makes it a lot harder to plan your days because you don’t know what time slots you’ll get. I was very surprised I was able to get FOP before noon. I think it’s all luck.
BC was great. Pool was so nice. Sunday when we went to the pool around 1 it was hard to find seats. When we went Tuesday morning we got there right at opening and it was chilly so we were able to get a great spot. But by 1 the seats were almost gone.
If you get quick service for breakfast mobile order on your phone so you don’t have to wait around.
Skyliner is a nice way to get back to BC from HS.
We walked to HS in the mornings. I heard skyliner at Caribbean beach can get busy in the mornings so we didn’t take it in the morning.
What does it mean to "stack Genie+"? Is it correct that you can get a new genie+ about every 90 minutes, even if your reservations are in the evening....so at 9am, get a LL for 7pm. At 10:30, you can get another LL, this time for 8pm. At noon, get another LL for 9pm.

Stacking means you just get a lot of rides in a row. You can book genie + at 7am, if at your 7am booking you get a ride that's later in the day, you can book your next genie+ 2 hours after park opening. Ex. Book Jungle Cruise at 4pm. MK opens at 9, so I can book my next genie+ at 11, then 1, then 3, then 5, and finally at 7pm. OR, if you book your first genie + ride at 9:30am, after you scan into that ride you can book your next ride.
On Tuesday of my trip I stacked our rides. We didn't go to a park in the morning so I booked all of our rides after 4pm. I booked Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Barnstormer, Dumbo, and Tomorrow Land Speedway for that day between 4pm-park close.

pisces , if the first one you get is in the morning, are you not able to book the other ones until after you go through it? Am I correct in assuming the better strategy is to book your first one later in the day, so that you can then go ahead and book other ones earlier, and then you have them all done/booked? As opposed to having to wait to book your next one until after each one that you go through? I hope that makes sense.

Correct, if you book your first one at 9:45 as soon as you scan in the LL you can book another.
As far as strategy, I guess it depends which rides you prioritize and which rides you don’t mind waiting for. So I guess the best strategy for someone might not be the best for someone else. I found some images that says when each rides LL times are gone for the day (ex. Jungle Cruise is gone the fastest at MK, usually by the morning) so that was really helpful deciding what to book.

Thanks! I just feel like it’s going to be so stressful to get up early and book these and not know what the day looks like. I changed up our last evening to be at HS just in case our day 1 (rope drop) there doesn’t get us everything. Debating what we should rope drop at HS…this park is giving me the most trouble bc there’s so much new stuff we haven’t done. We will definitely buy ROTR.
Ugh, I still just hate the idea of this new system. I really liked having the main parts of my day totally set in advance and being able to work around a few fixed points (dining, FP). I really do not like the idea of waking up early every day for some stressful ride booking thing. I also hate paying extra. For 6 people, that's an extra $90/day for Genie+ AND additional for any of those special reservation by ride thingies (can't remember name).
Still a moot point as I have no trip booked right now!

I would rope drop Slinky, you have a better chance of booking a Genie+ for MMRR or Tower of Terror at an earlier time slot. You never know with Slinky Dog, that's the ride that time slots fill up the fastest.

It makes park hopping a lot harder. Especially going to HS in the morning and planning to hop later.
