As usual I'm overthinking the details. I've been planning on these pulls in black for the cabinet hardware. (my sink faucet will be black and my pendants have black accents)
But I keep seeing kitchens that have tab pulls on the drawers and then regularly pulls like these on the cabinets and I like that look, too.
Here is a kitchen that is similar to what we will have--white uppers and wood lowers (mine will be walnut)--that has the same black pulls everywhere.
This one has tab pulls everywhere except on those really large cabinets (I won't have any that big):
Then this one has a mix, though nickel, not black, but you get the idea:
And how big should they be? This last little detail might be the one that makes me fully crazy, lol.
Our contractor came by to take a few final measurements today and told me that he had another job finish up early so he can start on mine this coming Monday instead of a week from Monday if we want. We said yes because the sooner it starts, the sooner it will be done, but OMG, I'm panicking a bit because I now have a thousand things to do in the last 3.5 days and now it's really, really real.

Tab pulls are in for flat front doors, however I don’t feel as though they will age as well. To me they are reminiscent of the late 80s almond melamine cabinet pulls that were like those integrated strips of curved wood on the cabinets.
However, if you don’t like them after a while, it would be very easy to remove and replace them with standard pulls without having to worry about hole positions, etc, so if you don’t like them they are easily removed.

I think it depends on the overall design of your kitchen/home. Do you lean more modern? That’s what the pulls in the pictures you showed say to me. If you’re more transitional, your first choice may be best.
The tab pulls feel office-y to me for some reason.
I couldn't place why I didn't like them - but this is why.
I'm also redoing my cabinets with flat front and I'm going to use the pulls/handles (not the tabs and I realized I hate knobs). I think it depends on the look you want - I'm thinking a bit of the oversized (like 12" pulls).
I've never used a tab-pull, but they look awfully small and like they could be challenging to get a good grip on. I'd go with the "regular" style handles, personally.
Original plan. We had tab pulls in our old house and I didn't love them. A lot of tab pulls are just kind of pointy, even with rounded edges. I tore my jeans on them and would constantly get my shirt hooked on the ones in our island where I used to stand to prep a lot.
I also don't like the mixed look you pictured. That said, we have a mixed look--ours is not as modern, kind of more farmhouse-ish kitchen. We have pulls on cabinets (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KWANYO2) and cup pulls on drawers (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TY4CWBZ). I love the look of the cup pulls, but I've found myself fumbling with them if I'm multitasking (holding something while trying to open a drawer one-handed).

that's what the kitchen designer suggested. 12" on the drawers and then I think like 6" for the cabinets. I hate knobs, too. we have them on our current cabinets and I'm not a fan.
okay, thanks for the feedback, everyone. I'll stick with the pulls!
And with that decision I think I have to completely cut myself off of Pinterest and Houzz because every time I see I new kitchen photo that I like, I start obsessing and second guessing all my choices and it's too late to make any changes now!
