We just signed on for our first major home remodel, our master bath. We are not changing the layout, just gutting to the studs and getting rid of the soffit above the shower.
Do you think this color is classic enough to stand the test of time? I have loved blues and greens forever, so I don’t think I’ll get sick of it, but do you think it’s better to go neutral?
I didn't do a painted vanity, but I did accent tile in a similar color in our renovated bath in our old house. The quartz counters also had some veining in a similar color. So it was pretty permanent. We only lived there for 3 years after we renovated it, but when we did the reno I was comfortable keeping it long term, and we didn't have plans to move. I would be comfortable doing it again.
My old and new house are collectively a roll call of all the SW muddy blues, greens, and aquas: I've used sea salt, oyster bay, tradewind, interesting aqua, sleepy blue, tidewater, open air, rainwashed, underseas... If I was gonna get tired of it, I would have by now.
we just painted our wood cabinets a very similar color so I think you'll be fine. worst case, you could always paint it if you get sick of it in 10-15 years
I think it’s fine as long as everything else is neutral. Putting in something you love is way more important than a hypothetical potential future buyer. If someone doesn’t like it in 10 years, it’s not that difficult to paint (easier than changing our tile). I’m a fan of a clean modern look but the way all the new and flipped houses are so monotone they look like a black and white photo kills me. Color is great!
I like it, and if you want to NBC hangs things up in the future you could repaint it. I think blues are natural choices for bathrooms and are pretty classic for that space.

I think it’s great in a bathroom. Adds a pop of color and in the future you could have it repainted if you get sick of it. But I do think it will stand the test of time.

I like it! I've done quite a few renovations over the past 10 years, and as much as I go back and forth on things at the time, I usually find I'm 100% happy with my choices once I've made them. I guess that's how people let their houses end up so woefully out-of-date! Plus, better to take a risk with vanity rather than tile or flooring or something that would be super hard to modify in the future.
I think it’s pretty! As others have said, it’s prerogative easy to paint a vanity and I’d rather go bold there than the tile which I do think will look dated faster and is more costly to change.

I just had a blue and green tile floor put in so I love that.
I've always loved blues and greens and never get sick of them. Plus it's a painted vanity which means you or someone else can always paint it a different color.
