Friday- 4 mile run in 70 degrees. Felt like crap. Knees and IT band are dead.
Saturday--5 mile walk in 30 degrees when the rain let up to a mist. New England weather, man.
Today- my long run was a half marathon at a slower pace than race pace. Knees are so not happy. Its my kneecaps, not the sides, so I'm not sure its totally IT band related. I have to get to a PT before I injure myself more and can't run the marathon.
I can never keep DST and Standard time straight. I don't like darkness at 4pm but I understand kids walking in the dark to school is problematic. But maybe there is a solution to that ( kids in Iceland probably walk in the dark?) because the winter blues are real and they suck.

Fri: rest Sat: 8 mile run with sprints thrown in. I felt terrible and wanted to die but I made it and shockingly I hit my paces. Sun: 4 mile easy run
BQ: well, today I liked it bc it meant my hour long drive at 6:30 pm wasn’t completely dark. I like waking up to the Sun, but in the summer, I literally wake up with the sun, so it’s nice right now that it’s a little easier for me to sleep in. Clearly I just need better blinds 😂
Friday: 45 minute spin class. First time back at the gym since the pandemic! JFC, group fitness is a much harder workout than running on my own. LOL.
I like the way DST works now. If we didn't fall back in October, the kids would be walking to school in the pitch black. And the sun would still set before 5pm. The main thing is it's just really hard in Seattle for about 6-12 weeks near the solstice.
