Covid 3/21 Week

Has anyone looked at their CDC community dashboard and noticed that the vaccination rates were WAY off? They are saying that our county has 95% of the vaccine eligible population has had at least 1 dose of the vaccine and close to 85% are fully vaccinated. Results are similar for our neighboring county.  There's just no way that this has happened.

In regards to accuracy, CDC called to talk about vaccination info yesterday. I never get calls like this, so I was glad to participate. It was a Chicago number BTW, they called twice and I looked up the number so when they called the 3rd time I answered. Normally, I never answer out of area.

Hillary tweeted that she tested positive for COVID. Only mild cold symptoms and is feeling fine. Bill has tested negative.

The name rings a bell and I think she was the interim head of Planned Parenthood.  So jackasses are going to be jackasses regardless of what she has to say, I presume.

I think people are mad at this tweet from last night:

"For those who don’t agree that the vaccinated can return to pre-pandemic normal, I ask: What should we all do? Perpetual masking? Forever not dining out, avoiding large weddings & indoor gatherings, etc? Virtually everything has risk, and zero covid is not a viable strategy."

People (including me) are annoyed with this black and white view of precautions. There's something between complete lockdowns and having no covid precautions for ordinary life.

Slight @@@@@there’s a history of how she was horrible when she was briefly the head of planned parenthood. It was really bad.

Then, when covid hit she somehow became a covid "expert". She every once in awhile says "ok" things but mostly recently has been like we don’t need masks, what’s the end goal here, etc. She’s said other problematic things so now everyone says she just needs to be quiet, but obviously that’s not gonna happen.

I agree, she is definitely a self-promoter and everything she does is geared towards raising her profile.  I worked at the only gov't entity she has worked at (under the previous health commissioner).  She was certainly not qualified to be @@@ president of Planned Parenthood which was clear rather quickly.

She is a CNN contributor, a self aggrandizing hack who said masks are too big an ask to help save people’s lives.

Glad everyone else covered Dr Wen. Her and Dr Pressad.. 🙄 (for those who don’t know him, he is an oncologist with an MPH who went all in on not masking and dangers of vaccines for some populations. Was a mostly respected oncologist, now a piranha).

I got my covid forcefield topped off today. Had the Evulsheld PrEP in early Feb. the FDA doubled the dosing, so I went back for most. Easy peasy. No side effects, except the injection was more painful than last time. Feels like a lidocaine injection going jn (burning for a few seconds). I also sweet talked the guy who is supposed to monitor post injection to let me go, since I didn’t react the first time and it was the same dosing (and they have no seen any reactions so far).

Between Florida and attending an indoor concert unmasked… man I feel so much more confident about things than even a few months ago. For me, personally. Two years ago, covid had me fearing death more than two rounds of cancer.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The funniest party is I tried to spell the word I was going for, it turned into that, and I looked at it and said “huh, who knew it had an H?!”

edit - I’m not editing what I said originally. But do want to apologize. A couple hours later, I thought, maybe I should lookup the word I meant to use. And now feel shame that I used it.

I’m so happy for you but so jealous. My neurologist has told me twice that they are saving the good stuff, evushield and paxlovid, for the elderly and those on a specific immune suppressant.

As England is going to start charging for LFTs from 1 April, you can't get the free ones anywhere. So, we have cases skyrocketing, no availability of free ones, people doing whatever while they have Covid...hmmm, wonder what's going to happen in London shortly.
