Y’all I am at my wits end with shit in our house that needs charging and the associate chaos of charging cables. I currently have no less than 8 remote control race cars and monster trucks charging in my garage. An iPad, a drone, some kind of gameboy thing, and a hipster Polaroid charging in the kitchen.
We have a console table in our family room that is underused. It’s been that way because the 3yo helps himself to whatever he can reach in that area, but I think we need to use it more and just keep on him with infinite “no touch” reminders. My kitchen doesn’t have a ton of counter space and I just need this crap out!
I wish we could move some of the stuff to the toy closet in our family room, but it would involve hiring an electrician to add outlets to the closet. (Which, not opposed to but would rather wait until we need more stuff done and bundle it.) This console table is my next best bet because there’s an outlet directly behind it.
(We don’t often charge phones in the kitchen, that’s generally charged in our offices while working or in our bedroom at night. It’s all this other stuff that’s just too much clutter for my brain right now.)
Any suggestions for a charger system or something that can help me tame this situation?

I'm assuming there's an outlet behind that console table? If so, I'd get one of those big charging outlet things (why can't I think of what this is called?), or a charging strip. Plug everything into that. And - maybe more baskets like the one on the bottom of the console to put charging things in to keep them out of eyesight.
Following because we are in the same boat. I want to get one of those charging stations, but it makes me nervous having so much plugged into one thing.
I would do a surge protector and find a basket that will work in the shelf of the furniture. Either put the surge protector in the basket or outside it and then drill holes and feed the cords.
I like the idea of charging some things in baskets so it hides the clutter. Better than a damn drone next to my air fryer. 🤦🏻
And that charging rack is pretty cool too. That might work for the iPads and like the gameboy thing and us occasionally charging phones. I’ll have to see if it’ll fit the kid iPads since they have those thick foam covers.
We have a console table with an open shelf. I have a square power / usb surge protector and charge stuff like tablets and drones there. Ours is smaller and higher so the stuff is kind of hidden in shadow, but for yours I’d probably get two large but short baskets to hide the clutter.
it's been really handy. it can charge the kid's school iPads, our home iPad, the Ninetendo Switch, and 2 phones at once. Also, I like that we can just do a quick check by looking at it before we got to bed at night to make sure all the kids devices are there and not in their rooms!
We've had it for more than a year now and it's still going strong, we do have it plugged into a surge protector.

We keep a charging rack like the one that dr.girlfriend posted on a small table in our dining/living room area. It has a cordless charger on it, so we can pop our phones on there for a quick charge.
