I finished A House Without Windows by Nadia Hashimi, 5*. I'm currently reading The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn.
Qotw: I don't really have an ideal house, but I do have a list of things I want and things I don't want for our forever home from all the different houses and places we've lived over the years. The overall look of the house I guess would depend on where we finally settle down (mountains, beach, rural, etc..)
I just started Four Treasures of the Sky by Jenny Tinghui Zhang. Finished The Other Americans by Laila Lalami, which was ok. I apparently skimmed it before, because there were a handful of parts I definitely remembered.
QOTW: I really just want to live oceanfront, but that is very unlikely to actually happen.

Currently about halfway through Ariadne. I'm really liking it!
QOTW: I'm not overly picky, but something with a craft room, a gym, and a library. Location close to family and stores, but not right in the city. Big, but not huge. A decent yard, maybe on a lake!
This week I read The 22 Murders of Madison May and Maus I. Both 3-3.5 stars.
I’m still plugging along with Empire of Pain. It’s fascinating but not a quick read.
QOTW: Honestly, I don’t know. I’ve lived in cities and the suburbs. The rural life has always intrigued me - having land and farm animals, etc. Not sure that’s realistic though. I’ve always wanted a library. Not sure that’ll ever happen either. At a minimum I’d like something craftsman-style and not cookie cutter.
I finished Time’s Convert. It was good but nothing like what I expected. I realized midway through that it was the 4th book in a series which explains why I was a little lost. Overall, I really enjoyed it.
Currently reading Rock Paper Scissors (good) and The Paris Apartment (meh I hope it gets better).
QOTW: I want a beach house. The idea of waking up to the sound of the ocean would be amazing. I don’t even care what the house itself looks like.

Finished Master of Djinn, Perfectly Impossible, and the Sum of Us.
Started reading Cleopatra's Dagger.
QOTW: Describe or post a pic of your dream house (unrealistic or realistic).
This house came up for sale in my area several years ago and I fell in love with it. Front porch, bay windows, wine cellar, fireplaces, saltwater pool, walk in closets, fruit trees......

I finished Cloud Cuckoo Land last week. It came together in the end, but the first half was a slog. It needed at least 100 fewer pages describing a march to war and every possible bird species.
I'm now reading Crooked Kingdom, sequel to Six of Crows.
QOTW: I want a pool, view of the ocean, garden for my plants, office/workout room, and most importantly, a separate building for H's music gear and equipment.
