Friday: 30 mile road ride Saturday: 32 mile road ride after the morning rain Sunday: 43 mile road ride
BQ: I didn't buy any this year. I did buy a slice of amazing cake from my new favorite cake bakery. It's huge and enough for 3 portions. So far, two have been eaten.
Fri - ran my 4 mi nature loop and saw a fox Sat - ran 3 mi Sun - hiked about 4 mi in Acadia National Park including around a glacier fed pond. Mon - at the hotel gym right now on the bike, 6.5 miles. We have a grunter in here with us, this guy is making every exhalation known, and my husband and I are amused.
Yes, I’ve been eating candy. I bought some and my kids are also picking it up for free left and right (a festival we attended, stores, the hotel gave them some filled eggs).
Fri: 20 min run + 30 min strength Sat: 60 min Peloton cycle Sun: 30 min walk and some yoga. Had good intentions of getting on my bike when we got home from Easter celebrations, but it didn't happen.
It was a gorgeous day to run! A little head wind that made the Heartbreak Hills not so fun, but amazing weather. Fans were as awesome as they always are. Got to see so many of my friends along the course. And I beat my last Boston time despite running a steady slower pace ( ran too fast too soon last time) due to my stupid IT band.
We had rain yesterday here (I live here), it’s raining now, and tomorrow is supposed to be raining all day so we really lucked out!
Congrats, fryjack2!! I’m glad you had a great experience and a course PR to boot. It was definitely the best Marathon Monday weather we’ve had in recent memory!
