A relative asked me to help them redesign their bathrooms. They are absolutely clueless about what they want in terms of design aesthetic. They have a huge main floor bath and a decent size bathroom off their second floor main bedroom which has vaulted ceilings. Both have separate full size tubs and full size rectangular showers. Most plumbing fixtures will stay in the same place but they want a larger 2 person shower in the upstairs bath and could swap it with the tub or eliminate the tub altogether.
I’m crowdsourcing some ideas to show them and at least narrow down the styles they like. Post or link your dream bathrooms, renovations you’ve done or things you considered doing and didn’t.
The house is very 70s, a huge barn roof style cabin in a wooded area (white walls and ceilings but with huge dark wood beams, stone fireplace, etc). They plan to remodel their kitchen after this and coordinate with the bathroom remodel.

I'd go through Pinterest and just pin, pin, pin. I'd want something that went with the esthetics of the rest of the house, unless they are focusing on changing that. Maybe look up barn house bathrooms?

I’ve definitely done a lot of pinning but I feel like I start seeing the same things over an over again after a while! They put in wood floors a couple years ago and plan to renovate the rest of the houses and exterior after the bathrooms. The only thing we’ve established is they don’t want all white.
drgirlfriend I think they’d love yours! I’m trying to convince them to keep a tub upstairs like the one you put in because it takes less space than what they have now.
