Please help me choose. I am terribly indecisive and I’ve reached the stage of researching choices for my bathroom remodel where I really needed to make a final decision on cabinets and fixtures like, yesterday. I know what I like when I see it, but it’s incredibly hard for me to visualize how design elements will work together.
Background: My primary shower has a drain pan leak which started this entire mess and it just makes more sense to redo the entire bathroom rather than trying to match a style that I wouldn’t have chosen. It’s a decent size, but receives no natural light. I originally wanted a light green vanity, but couldn’t find what I wanted without paying for custom and that’s not in the budget. My thought was to paint the walls a light greyish green instead, but I’m not sure how it will coordinate. I finally chose a light grey floor tile after buying close to 20 samples and I have a white freestanding tub. The current plan is to add white, slightly larger subway tile with a little bit of wave or texture around the wall by the tub and toilet and also to the shower.
Anything will look better and brighter than the current greenish brown vanity and dark slate floors. I want pretty, but practical, but I’m having a hard time with the following two decisions.
Grey or white vanity and linen cabinets
Dark or metal fixtures (I don’t want gold or brass. I think it looks beautiful in pictures, but I don’t think I would enjoy it long term.)
I’ll try to attach a couple of inspiration photos.
Current floor tile choice is a greyish porcelain tile with the proposed bathroom layout. There are minimal changes, only swapping a freestanding tub for a corner tub.

I think a light grey for the furniture would be good. I would not go with greenish grey in a low light room for the walls (might look sickly). But I'd find a very large piece of white matt board and paint it to see what you think. White for the walls or a super light grey would also look good.

I like grey for the vanity, with the caveat that I am very specific about grey. I don't like a super dark grey. Something lighter would be my preference (similar to what you have posted in your inspiration pictures).
I think fixtures depend on your personal preference. Do you want it to be more rustic/farmhouse? Black fixtures. Do you want it to be more spa-like and "fancy"? Chrome fixtures. Somewhere in the middle? I'd go with brushed nickel. I think you could also mix fixture color if you want to go more bold. Look on pinterest for ideas.
Without a lot of natural light I would be hesitant to do a green. It will read muddy. Light and bright paint colors. You can definitely bring in more green accents with art, a rug, etc.
mrsukyankee and dancingirl21 - I gravitate towards the first inspiration photo, but the cabinets are more of a medium grey and I’m not sure it’ll have the same effect.

I would do white, b/c I'm just not a huge fan of the gray trend and think it will fade out, while white is always classic. At least, I always like white! Also, if you have gray in your floors already, you run the risk of your gray vanity ending up not "matching' or having a different undertone. But if you like gray, I do think that would look nice, too, as long as you don't have problems with the color looking like the "right" gray.
I like a little "glam" in the bathroom so I would go with shiny silver fixtures. Probably chrome--it's cheapest, it looks nice with gray & white. B/c it's cheapest, it might save a lot for you if you use it throughout the bath with the shower, tub, faucets, etc. Showers can add up b/c of all the different pieces.
I wouldn't worry too much about the wall color until you have the rest picked out. not crazy re: the "gray-green" idea. Maybe just a very light (not green) gray? or a light green (without gray)? Or a pretty pale ocean-y color?

I’d do a white vanity, as it’s more versatile if you want to change up wall color in the future. We have SW Sea Salt, a pretty green blue in one of our baths and it looks so clean and fresh with white. SW Austere grey is a nice green grey.
Do you have a Fergussun showroom you can walk through? Just to see some fixtures/styles and finishes in person? Agree w/others that I'd be cautious about going w/a gray vanity w/o seeing if the grays work together. There are so many undertones, it's important to see the materials in person and next to one another.

Yes! Although it looks like I would still have to book an appointment to even walk through and we start demo next Monday. Ahhhhhh. I have a feeling I’ll end up going the safe route with white cabinets since I can’t compare the greys together.
