What # will you use as a guideline though? I hadn’t seen anything come out with what number is good vs not good enough.
That is a question I will definitely put in my follow up message to her...like you, I haven't seen clear info on what's considered enough versus not.
I know a lot of people who enrolled in an antibody study and have shared their results, peoples numbers are all over the board and who has/hasn’t gotten Covid again post-vaccine hasn’t always matched to lower numbers. I know it’s being studied obviously but I’m not sure how valuable doing the test would be.

I'm at the point where I'm starting to forget that my 2 year old is not vaccinated. That's how long it has been.
In any case, my 5 year old will get a booster as soon as his pedi lets me know I can book it. Now would be good timing though as we have a lot of fun things planned for this summer.
I wonder if I should be getting a booster soon? My last was right before Thanksgiving.

Agreed. My husband tested positive twice in the 4 months after his booster so antibody numbers make me skeptical for sure.
FWIW, my DD will probably get a booster. My H just got his fourth shot after his doctor recommended it (he’s on an immunosuppressive drug.) He probably would have held off if people were still wearing masks, but I think he’ll be a lot happier this way, especially because he has to fly for an upcoming business trip. I just got back from a work trip and only 50% of people were masking in the airport, though it was closer to 80% on the plane itself (because SF, I guess.)
Definitely. We flew between TX and FL last weekend and it was...not like that on either flight. I'd guess it was around 5%-10% of people wearing masks.
Yeah, this was NY to SF. H has a business trip to a red state coming up and I was like, steel yourself. So he got the booster even though he was on the fence.

Second boosters are not yet approved for the general population. I'm really hoping I can get one soon after everyone I know who attended a specific meeting got covid except for the one person who had gotten their second boosters.
I just booked an appointment at Walgreens for the kids next Friday afternoon. They have already said they were looking forward to getting their boosters because they will get ice cream afterwards.

I just booked my kids for tomorrow. Like others I have wondered if we should wait until closer to school start, but I feel like we should have protection against the current wave.

Booster doses are recommended for pretty much everyone. If you got 2 mrna vaccines you should get a booster 5 months after you completed the 2-dose series.

"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
FDA advisory committee meets on June 8, 21, and 22nd and ACIP meets on June 22nd and June 23rd. I never know for sure until the vaccine and EUAs are actually in my hands, but I think <5 vaccines will be approved around the 27th.
I gave DS1 his booster and he had absolutely no side effects.
