“A Milwaukee private school says it has filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed against them last month by Craig and Kelly Robinson, the brother and sister-in-law of former first lady Michelle Obama, over issues of inclusiveness and alleged racial bias.”
I mean, private schools (all schools) do in fact show racial and SES bias. The Robinsons are probably correct in that their bringing it up was the reason for their sons' dismissal from the school (I'm sure it was couched in other language, but we all know that that's part of it...). I think it is incredibly hard to prove though.
I'm equally sure these parents were a pain in the ass during Covid (if the parents at every other school in the country are any indication) and I assume the school got sick of them. They probably should have gone about this differently though.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
What does that mean - Kelly Robinson was burdensome to teachers during the pandemic? Like, wanting safe protocols? Requests for digital learning during peak transmission periods? Or refusing to cooperate with protocols and wanting speshul exceptions for her kids?
That seems like a whole extra can of worms to open.

From a few articles I have read it sounds like they wanted to be virtual when others were in-person. I’m not sure exactly about the burdensome part but it sounded like she was observing their lessons and critiquing them. Rightly or wrongly I have no idea.
