QOTW: What kind of social media user are you? On the scale from nonstop tweets/posts/likes/comments to “I don’t even own a smartphone,” where do you fall?
I finished The Change by Kirsten Miller. It was pretty good but not really a standout book.
I started The Violin Conspiracy two days ago but haven't made much of a dent because I've been spending the evenings catching up on Stranger Things.
QOTW: I'm not on facebook, twitter, instagram, tik tok, etc. Am I forgetting anything? If you consider GBCN social media then I check in several times a day for a few minutes at a time. Same with this Slack channel that I'm on. Otherwise, I'm not active on social media at all.
I finished What Happened to the Bennetts and started The Kite Runner by Khaled Hossein.
Qotw: I only have Facebook and GBCN book club. We move often so I like having Facebook to keep in touch with people that I probably would lose touch with otherwise. Plus, it gives me easy and fast access to information about the new communities. I seldomly post (mostly during holidays and transitions), but I check it too often.
I’m almost finished with The Love Songs of W.E.B. Du Bois by Honoree Fanonne Jeffers. It is excellent, definitely a five star book, though very long and far from light reading.
QOTW: I post on Facebook or instagram very infrequently, usually pics of my dog. My privacy settings are tight but it’s nice to keep up with extended family and old friends. I’m in a few neighborhood Facebook groups that are useful for community events and info, but I almost never post there.

Finished Nottingham and started Lessons in Chemistry, I should finish Moon Witch, Spider King today.
QOTW: What kind of social media user are you? On the scale from nonstop tweets/posts/likes/comments to “I don’t even own a smartphone,” where do you fall? Moderate? I check in once a day to the sites I frequent and sometimes less often on weekends.
I've been reading When We Lost Our Heads by Heather O'Neill. Not quite sure how this got on my radar, but I'm really loving it. The early parts gave me a bit of a Heavenly Creatures vibe.
QOTW: I would also say moderate. I post some, mostly travel and food photos. My accounts are all private. I scroll through Instagram and Facebook a few times a day but usually stop after a short while because the algorithm sucks so badly. I hate watching videos with sound so don't do TikTok or anything similar.
- Black Girls Must Die Exhausted: 3.5/4 stars. It was good but I didn’t exactly love it. - Reread Harry Potter #1
I currently have The Book Lovers and The Lincoln Highway from the library.
QOTW: I’m on Facebook way too often but I’m in a lot of groups so I check alerts frequently. I don’t do Twitter. I have an IG account that I scroll through a few times a day. I think that’s about it.
