I finished an ARC of Fellowship Point by Alice Elliot Dark — took me a couple of tries to get into it, but I liked it a lot once I did. One of the characters really annoyed me but ended up growing on me, and the things that annoyed me made sense with her character, so definitely strong character development.
Now reading Under Lock and Skeleton Key by Gigi Pandian, which is fun so far — fairly light mystery.
QOTW: corn on the cob! Also fresh garden tomatoes — those are delicious.
I'm reading Remarkably Bright Creatures. Like it so far but haven't been able to give it the time it deserves. I was reading The Violin Conspiracy but could not get into it and quit.
I just realized that I started this and then never actually answered.
I've been reading Kaikeyi by Vaishnavi Patel but struggling to make progress. There's nothing wrong with the book, it's just not really grabbing my attention.
QOTW: It's hard to choose but probably corn on the cob.
I just finished “Crying in H Mart” by Michelle Zauner (who is also heads up Japanese Breakfast). It was great, 4 out of 5 stars. It’s about her mom’s death, and I so identified with her description of that process.
Starting two new ones from the library: Beneficence by Meredith Hall and Clark and Division by Naomi Hirihana.
