This story is a lot to unpack. He called 911 on *himself* because he wanted to die. Somehow I don’t think the gunnies and conservatives will be demanding “mental health” in this case. If you read the article, @@@ (his motive)
A California man armed with a handgun, knife and burglary tools was detained near the Maryland home of Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh early Wednesday morning after making threats against Kavanaugh, federal officials said.
The man, identified as Nicholas John Roske, 26, of Simi Valley, is being charged with attempted murder of a federal judge, according to a criminal complaint.
I read this and maybe I get a touch of understanding when people jump to paid actor and false flag, because the narrative doesn’t seem to make sense on the surface (upset about Roe, Uvalde, and wanting to keep guns…). But then, it kind of does because “upset about” doesn’t indicate which side.

I didn’t read the article comments but paid actor? What actor would risk 20 years in jail?
I thought his “side” was clearly stated in the article.

Sorry folks. Weird things that apparently only went through my head. I’ll try to explain, but will probably dig myself further.
Ok. So guy is upset about the Roe leak -> makes me think he is pro-choice. Upset about Uvalde -> makes me think pro-gun control. But then taking guns to a SC justice is WTF. And then the bit about Kavannaugh being the one to strike down the 2nd amendment. On first read, the narratives don’t line up. And, if one couldn’t think further and realize that you could be upset about the *leak* without being pro-choice, or upset that the general upset about Uvalde could lead to more gun control, or your just a a fucker with a gun.
Anyway… to be clear, it’s not that I think that. I’m just saying it’s a fucked up story that can be read multiple ways, some of which don’t make sense at first. And some people can’t deal with that pick the easier story line that it’s all just made up.

Dude.
The 2A thing is the opposite of whatever is churning around in your head. He believes Kavanaugh “would side with Second Amendment decisions that would loosen gun control laws” (from the article.) It’s referring to a New York case that will EXPAND guns in public when they rule on it this month. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/05/19/supreme-court-gun-case/
Yes, rubytue you just read that part of the article wrong.
Also, it’s naive to think that “our side” doesn’t have its own extremists that could be dangerous. Which is how it reads when someone says, “Oh this is made up, couldn’t possibly be “us”!”

Yes. How are we supposed to keep our house clean if we imagine only others are dirty?
I don't think rubytue agrees with getting to that point, just that when traditional beliefs about people don't match actions, and people don't have critical thinking to move past that, it's easy to latch onto some other narrative, like "paid actors."
I *think* she was thinking about how the hell people can fall into delusional thinking. 🤷♀️

that was my interpretation of what she said as well.
