JFC. No law is ever going to stop ALL crime. A fucking SCOTUS should know that. But as much as we can do to curb crime- we should do it!

Seriously! Someone died in a car accident. Guess we should just get rid of all seatbelt laws and car safety requirements 🤷‍♀️ This enrages me.

Every industry that impacts life safety in the US is heavily regulated except guns.

I can't understand the gun obsession. I just don't and will never get why they're more important than literally anything else. And why does the "well regulated" part always get left out? Same people pick and choose Bible verses that fit their narratives. So frustrating. I'd very much prefer to not feel anxious in public settings. We have a carnival going on and we were there the other night. There were some games that made loud popping sounds (mostly balloon popping games). Every time I heard one, I'd look around and think this is exactly the kind of situation where the "good guy with a gun" might think someone else was shooting and *actually* shoot someone (and it would absolutely happen in this town). Why can't we just enjoy things without worrying about things like that??

I was listening to a podcast about the reconstruction period, and my brain can't stop thinking about what our world would look like if we had just allowed the confederacy start their own nation. Our entire history has included this fighting and it's never going to just end with both factions happily living together in peace and harmony.

Correct - and surprise, surprise, a former dues paying member of the Oathkeepers. He just won reelection this month.
