Anyone up for another round of product recommendations? Feel free to share your recommendation for any item and/or to ask for a specific recommendation.
I'm looking for a good bedding rec. Specifically a comforter/duvet, duvet cover, and quilt. The down comforter we currently have is literally falling apart. I tried to take it out of the duvet cover and it was spilling feathers everywhere.
Is Boll & Branch that's advertised on social media as good as "they" say? Should I just buy another Target comforter and Amazon duvet since these seemed to last for several years before disintegrating? I'll happy take any recommendations!
Also, my recommended product is a hair product! I just bought JVN Air Dry Cream this weekend and I'm a big fan so far. I have wavy/curly hair (2A?) and it left my hair feeling very soft and not weighed down at all!
I’ve had a Martha Stewart branded duvet for YEARS and it’s held up so well. My duvet covers are from Crane and Canopy, and those have also held up really well. I usually only buy if they’re having a sale though because it’s a bit pricey for the king size items.
My product rec is for some anti-frizz hair cream. I have very frizzy wavy/curly hair that I have never really been able to manage well. Well, the last time I had my hair done i went to a new salon and my stylist recommended a product that worked on her own hair. It is absolutely FANTASTIC. A game changer. It’s called Mizani Press Agent, and I want to order a lifetime supply in case they ever discontinue it. She also taught me how to shape my curls so I can air dry without frizziness, and IT WORKED. I’m like a new woman.
I love our PB duvet cover. It's held up for years and 2 dogs (so far). Our last insert was from Kohls on major sale. I get the down alternative washable ones because, dogs.
We're about to upgrade to a king bed though, so anyone have recs for an extra large duvet and cover? I need covers!
Also, random question. Has anyone ever used a pepper corer like this? I saw someone use it on a Tik Tok video recently and I'm intrigued! We eat a ton of bell peppers in our house and I feel like this could be a time saver. But I also hate one-use gadgets unless they really add value.

I'm looking for a recommendation for calming chews/CBD or something for our dog. I need them for car rides, vet visits and fireworks (he's gotten better with fireworks, except I know with the 4th coming up, they will be non stop so I want to give him something)
I was using these for the last 2 years and I feel like the last couple times we used them they didn't work quite as well.. not sure if because they were from last year and lost some potency or what.
We got Brooklinen sheets and duvet covers based off a podcast commercial and have loved them; we always went cheap before and this was a nice step up without being insanely expensive.

Cut vertically through the side, through the bottom, through the other side. Pull apart. Use a knife to cut the stem out. Tear out the ribs and tap on a cutting board to remove the seeds.
Doing that can’t possibly take more time than that corer thing where you’re still going to have to remove ribs/seeds (because bell peppers are inherently asymmetrical) and will waste a good chunk of the top of the pepper.
I bought one of those apple slicer gadgets, you know the kind that slices the core out and gives like 6 individual slices, it was a complete waste of money. Takes a second or two longer to slice the apple with a knife.

There are so many options on Chewy, Amazon etc. I don't know what to pick.
I get mine here for my dog. They sell the Hemp as well so I trust that it actually has enough of real CBD vs some of the stuff on stores that isn't tested at all.
I bought Kur Illuminating Nail Concealer by Londontown after seeing an ad on Facebook and I love it. It's basically like tinted moisturizer or a "your lips but better" lip color but for your nails.
glitzy07,For down duvets and covers, I like the various options at Company Store. For a basic extra-warm down duvet, the one I got at Costco is surprisingly nice and looks new 4 years after I bought it. I bought one from Ikea for DS which isn't as nice quality but he likes that it's a bit heavier than a good quality down. He has my niece's hand-me-down linen cover from Boll & Branch from when she upgraded to a Queen when she moved from her tiny house in the city. It's nice but he doesn't appreciate it.
I'm with fivechickens, on cutting peppers. A decent knife will make short work of it.
NewGirlNic, I found one brand of calming treats that worked for my mom's cat but then they got discontinued. She was adopted from a couple who lived in Wilmington NC and freaks out whenever it storms after living through a couple bad hurricanes. We ended up getting her gabapentin from a specialty vet pharmacy. She puts it on a freeze-dried chicken breast treat and it works really well.

I agree with this and the apple thing being uneeded unless there are kids involved. In that case I think both are great to help them be more independent at a younger age.

How do you classify your hair? I'm between a 2C and a 3A, and I'm still on the hunt for the holy grail to tame the frizz and give my curls definition. I've tried so many things (many recommended on the board) and nothing seems to work for me consistently, but I just can't straighten my hair all the time, because I hate damaging it, and it won't stay straight in humid weather anyway.
Also, what's the secret from your stylist re: shaping? I tend to take small sections and do finger curls.

Ooh, I'll try this. I think my hair is a little curlier, though it's moody and unpredictable, but this is worth sampling! Thanks for the rec.

Thanks!
I would classify my hair as somewhere between 2b and 2c, but insanely frizzy. If I’m actually doing my hair and not just putting it up because it’s such a pain in the ass, I usually blow dry my hair and then curl it because air drying it was straight up not possible before I started using the Mizani cream.
My stylist told me to do the finger curls and then DO NOT TOUCH IT until it dries. That’s the hardest part for me, honestly. Once it’s dry I’ll re-shape it and break up some of the waves/curls.
After I wash, I’ll start with Biolage All-in-one Coconut Infusion Multi-Benefit spray, then brush my hair, then work in the Mizani cream and scrunch/shape. It honestly even makes my hair look so much nicer when I dry/curl it too.
I bought a Thermos brand metal cozy for cans and it’s great! It really does keep my soda cold for hours! I was skeptical because it doesn’t look like much but it works great. It even kept it pretty cold when I forgot it in my car at the beach the other day for a couple hours.
