I finally finished Under the Whispering Door, it took me over two weeks to finish. I started A Thousand Splendid Suns.
Qotw: I don't really get into music enough to know who is who so I cannot really say. I've only been to a few concerts in my life and one of them was a Kidz Bop concert with my kids. . The others I just kind of tagged along with friends when I was younger.
I finished Upgrade by Blake Crouch, which I enjoyed a lot — definitely a thriller and a page-turner, but gave me something to think about too. Now reading The Prettiest Star by Carter Sickels, which is also good but rather heavy: a young gay man with AIDS moves back to his small conservative hometown in 1986; narration switches between him, his mother, and his little sister.
QOTW: I never managed to see Vienna Teng, and she’s not performing much anymore. I can’t remember the last time I went to a concert, which is sad — I saw so many amazing shows in college and high school.
The Family Game by Catherine Steadman (a lot of fun)
A Selfie as Big as the Ritz by Lara Williams (good)
The It Girl by Ruth Ware (fun)
We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han (so very bad)
QOTW:
Hmmm. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts! There aren’t many people I’d want to see that I haven’t.
I guess Stromae. We wanted to get tickets when Janelle Monáe opened for him years ago but they weren’t playing anywhere/when we could go for their localish dates. He’s never actually in Baltimore which would be the dream. I’m also at the point where I want seat at concerts and those tickets tend to go fast!
Just finished Book Lovers. It was fine. A good story, but still a cheesy romance even if the main character is supposed to be "different" than other romance books.
Just started The Silent Patient.
QOTW: Queen or Linkin Park. I'm sad I never went to a LP concert when I had the chance! My H has, and got to meet the band a long time ago, before we met!

I finished Tracy Flick Can't Win and read Embers on the Wind. Also listening to The Party Crasher and reading Our Crooked Hearts.
QOTW: What is one band or musician you would choose to see that you have not already? Current or no longer around. I was supposed to see Roger Daltrey in 2020, but it was unsurprisingly, cancelled. I'd love to see him/The Who.

Probably too late now that it's Tuesday. This weekend I made some progress on "Last Night at the Telegraph Club", and I started "Lucky".
QOTW: I've never seen New Kids on the Block or Backstreet Boys, I'd go if some girlfriends were free. Brought to you by pretty much every female my age was there recently, lol. I would also LOVE to see Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
