We’re starting to plan a trip to Disneyland for next year, and I’m wondering what it’s like there (specifically crowd-wise) the last week of August (So just before Labour Day weekend). We’d likely do 2 weeks in Southern California, and end in Disneyland if that timing isn’t awful. We don’t go back to school until after the long weekend here. Our other possibilities are the Christmas break (busy), mid/end March (I’m assuming also busy?) and July/August.
I haven't been in August but did go one of the other times you posted - spring break - I thought crowds would be dreadful and for some instances they were but we got Genie+ and it totally saved us. We didn't wait in line for much at all and had a delightful time. So my point is that you should get Genie+ and that takes most of the stress of crowds out of it.

Totally agree. Regardless of when you go, get Genie+ and you’ll be fine.
Schools will be back in session so crowds should be lower. However, it can easily be 100 degrees in late August too. I live about 30 minutes away and a few degrees cooler…highs have been in the 90s this week and continue next week. August and September are our hottest months.
